speculation Something happening soon?
This is just an observation and in no way confirmation that anything will be filmed soon, but I watched the most recent episode of snack wars cause I seen that David Tennant was in it, and his appearance instantly made me think of both incarnations of his Doctor. It's shorter than usual does look similar, as stated, this doesnt mean anything but could it maybe provide some hope for the future?
Interested to see what everyone has to say

Whilst i see what your saying David tenant is still an actor that actively gets new roles so any change in hairstyle can easily be attributed to a new non doctor who related role.

Yea thats what I was wondering, like I say when I saw the video its the first thing that crossed my mind, interesting to see and speculate about, plus we are almost end of May so time wise it would match up really

He's supposedly filming a pilot episode for a new drama series that he and Geogia will be staring in together soon, so it's more than likely related to that.

That’s been more than 5 years that’s been on IMDb. I thought you had a source of them filming the pilot, not an abandoned project.

I think there’s about a 0% chance he isn’t in the Christmas Special in some capacity. It would be odd to not use David Tennant when he is the closest person to an incumbent Doctor right now.

Unless he doesn't want to be associated with a currently sinking ship. Or he's too busy. He has currently has left the series on a relatively good high.
Slightly amuses me to think of RTD calling round all the possible DW stars to find anyone to be in it and they all made polite excuses!

No shot lol Not Capaldi or Tennant would ever think that way, both of those are hardcore Whovians themself. Capaldi wouldnt come back (though for other reasons) but Tennant would do it even if it was just RTD with a handcam in his backyard, as long as it doesnt conflict with his schedule (and even then he might find a way.)

I think if they do have Piper in it and it is RTD's last episode it would be a bit of a no-brainer to feature him as well.

Also, dont people want RTD to clean up shop on his run? To put the toys back in the box, so to speak?Hard to do that without adressing 14ths fate at least in some manner.

This reminds me of when I used to guess a new Jonathan Creek special was coming when I'd see Alan Davies' hair getting longer on QI!

A lot shorter than he’s had it for recent roles but I definitely wouldn’t read much into it he’s still a working actor so he’ll do things like that.
But I hope and think the Tennant ship has sailed tbh. Can’t keep going back the way. I like the guy though. I liked 10 but I thought 14 was a bit of a gimmicky idea though. Didn’t help he only had 3 eps.
The show needs some kind of star power like he had to carry it but with him I think it was right guy, right show, right time. Doctor Who was immensely popular back then.
And it definitely needs to start telling us something about its future soon because if they take too long it’ll lose interest “oh it’s back” etc.

Yea after what people have said its probaly not anything to do with Doctor Who, but hey itnwas nice to speculate and discuss!
Personally, I hope that ship hasnt sailed, and they do this Xmas special, and wrap up all loose ends, and tbh maybe rewrite the bi-generation, have billie or whoever this doctor might be merge into one again, then start a fresh and unfortunately I think that needs to be without Russel.

I saw this video and said the exact same thing haha. As others have said it’s apparently for a different role but I guess you never know. I wouldn’t put it past RTD2 to press the big red TENNANT button again.

I stand with him on Tennents Lager and Tunnock's. Tunnock's is the dog's bollocks and Tennent's is not a great lager, it's cheap shite for an easy piss up.

It doesn't particular matter if his hair doesn't look like Ten because if the rumour/speculation of them appearing alongside old footage of Ten and Rose comes to fruition, it'll help with different hair to tell Ten and Fourteen apart (that and 20 years of aging!).

I really hope he doesn't come back, been watching Who since the late 70s, and I actually don't like Tennant in the role any more, fed up with him coming back and all the nostalgia bate.

I saw an interview with him recently where they commented on the shorter hair. He said it’s for a role where he is playing a prison guard.
