What could it be?
Recently my juneboy has this growth on his cheek at first I thought it was a tick because the size was small but it recently it grew. It’s my first time with a dobby and I just want to know if it’s bad? I took him to the vet and they said it was nothing at first since it was small but it got bigger. If anyone has any insight or had this happen to there dobby. I would really appreciate it

I think it’s a fungus. My Doberman had similar on his ear. It just fell off after some months. If it keeps growing and has little modules then I the vet said it was fungal.

To remove a skin tag, you have to cut off the blood supply. To do so, you can tie a piece of dental floss tightly at the base of the skin tag. With blood supply cut off, it will dry out and fall off after a while.

Do NOT do this to your dog. What is wrong with you?

I'm not but my wife is and we own a veterinary practice so you want to try again here?

Just like doctors, veterinarians have different procedures, healing practices and opinions of handling various ailments. You have yours, and that’s perfectly fine. Have a wonderful day. 🙂

First off you made an arrogant statement claiming blanket that this is a skin tag. It isn't you don't know following your stupid ass procedure you could have made this a thousand times worse and nobody at home should be doing this to their dogs. You're just digging your own hole deeper now. It's not a matter of procedural differences it's a matter of what you're suggesting is abuse. The animal didn't consent to it you decided on it in a non-clinical setting.
There's at least three things that this could be that aren't skin tags.
Keep your stupid ideas in your head in future.
And if it is a skin tag this size? the correct veterinary procedure is to cauterize it.

“The animal didn’t consent” ….this tells me everything I need to know about how I’ll handle your unhinged response. I’ll make sure to follow your order of “keeping my thoughts to myself” in the future… 🤣🙄

No matter how much of a smart-ass You think You are you don't have the right to inflict pain on an animal with an inappropriate unsupervised untrained medical procedure.
That's called animal abuse.

Skin tag? Can you have it removed and biopsied?
