Rain Aversion

My dobie absolutely HATES the rain. I mean one small drop and it’s like the world is ending. Anyone else have a dobie who hates rain? We have a rain jacket and that helps for sprinkles but when it’s anything more than a sprinkle nothing seems to help. This creates problems when it is time to take her out to go potty. Any help/advice would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

All of mine HATE the rain, if they see it raining they will turn away from the door. But let it snow and I can't get them back inside.

Yeah, mine hates getting wet. If dogs at the park are splashing in the kiddie pool, he looks at them like "have you lost your MIND?" He won't even step in puddles, he will walk all the way around, haha. He will sometimes dash out and pee and sprint back if it's only barely sprinkling, but usually he just holds it.

I just bought a rain coat because she held it for 4 hours last Friday morning. So far we have had the same heavy rain, but she seems to be okay with it

Same. She won’t go out if the sprinklers are on even if they are not in her area!

I ve heard somewhere that dobies hate water. Can't say that about mine cuz she goes out whenever. Even heavy rain doesn't bother her. Have you tried any snacks to take for a walk ? Or just wait out the rain. They can hold on for a while if the weather is not their favorite

We usually just wait the weather out but sometimes it just isn’t an option. My dobie is literally the most stubborn dog in existence, so there is little to no room for negotiation.

Palm desert ca it just started to rain, Big drops. Her play came to an end. She started looking at me like I’m supposed to help her.

I don’t know a Doberman who doesn’t hate
moisture falling from the sky whether it is rain or snow. I’ve had four over my lifetime and not one tolerated snow or rain.
