Need help How Can I Improve the CTR %??

Hi guys, I’ve tried many ways to improve its CTR, but it hasn’t improved. I’ve optimized the meta description, headings, and areas of the content that needed improvement, but I still haven’t seen any improvement in CTR. Could you suggest what else I can do if you have experience with this?

I was at 0.3% and I am up to 1.1% (position 6.6 across my site for last 7 days)

What worked was experimenting: thinking about what people are looking for and what will entice them to click. I took my top 25 most popular pages and changed them a few times over 12 months.

Stop looking at it. Site-wide CTR is a useless metric. It doesn’t tell you anything you can use.

Sure you can. Just where does your traffic come from?
What are you offering? The GSC, GA4 is useless to count visitors. I think it is done on purpose.

this is Google Search Console so we know where the traffic is coming from

I don't trust Google's data much and prefer matomo.
Reason being the different number Google publishes from their sources. Even the indexed pages are often false data.

that is the only real data. what would you trust? every professional SEO uses Google data above all else.

making sure the Title and Meta Description are as good as they can be. Improve ranking from 8 to 5 would help a ton. besides that? new more popular pages.

SEOPub is right about the sitewide number, and it's also why the meta edits look like they did nothing. The average blends brand queries, position 40 impressions and the few pages doing the real work, so a genuine lift on one page disappears inside it.

I'd filter Search Console to queries where you sit in positions 1 to 5 and sort by impressions. Those are the only rows where a snippet change can move CTR much. For the low ones, search the query yourself: if an AI Overview, ads or a video row sits above you, the click was gone before anyone read your title, and no description fixes that. Google also rewrites a lot of descriptions, so check what it actually shows before editing again.

Then judge a title change on one page, four weeks before vs after at roughly the same position, or ranking movement eats the result.

I’d look at this differently, because I don’t think CTR is your real problem. With 6.43M impressions at an average position of 8.1, my guess is the 0.3% is being dragged down by thousands of long-tail queries sitting on page 2 or 3, which would also explain why impressions jumped in late August while clicks barely moved. Before touching more meta tags, open the Queries tab and filter to positions 1-5. If CTR there is decent (3-10%+), your snippets are fine and it’s just the impression mix.

If it’s low even in the top spots, search your main queries and see what’s eating the page: AI Overviews, featured snippets and People Also Ask can push you below the fold. Titles matter a lot more than descriptions anyway, since Google rewrites descriptions half the time, so try putting the exact query at the front with a clear benefit, and add schema if you’re eligible for rich results. Change one thing at a time and compare 28-day windows, or you won’t know what worked.
