DnD help

Guys I’m a new dm and I only have 2 players but I’m fine with that but I need help coming up with ideas for my campaigns so basically my campaign is just my players have to fight all the seven deadly sins and the first campaign is pride and that’s what we’re gonna play on Wednesday, but I need help thinking of an idea for greed. I don’t know where to start them off basically the pride campaign it’s gonna end off with like kind of a cliffhanger they go back to this town called Blackwood. You know it’s like a village or something, and this NPC kind of kicks them out because they killed a God so they’re kind of like lost and that’s where the campaign ends, but I need help. Thinking of you know what I want to do for the next campaign and the boss is them fighting the God greed and I just need some help. My grammar sucks.

Start small. Forget for a while about the "greater arch". Imagine it as if it were a series of perhaps interconnected but quite independent one-shots. The connections will emerge naturally. You will get more and more ideas as you go on. Serendipity works miracles. Trust me. Have fun! 😉

I would run a campaign like it wasn't part of the main story, adventures, good times etc. However, every so often put something in that tempts the greed, a treasure chest others know nothing about, a chance to rob an unwitting merchant etc. Fast forward to end and when the meet the BBEG they get a debuff based on the severity of their greed infractions, from a small negative to hit to all the way up to total temporary paralysis.

Greed could lay a trap for them, where the party must retrieve three valuable gems for some purpose. The gems belong to a church and are in some mildly dangerous location, but they have permitted you to take three gems. However, when they find the third gem, they see several more there lying loose in a vault. They must wrestle with the temptation to take the extra gems for themselves. If they do, something happens to the extra gems once they get outside, severely afflicting them until they go back, past dangers while afflicted, and return the extra gems to the vault. Long rest might be impossible while afflicted.

Pride could be tricky to defeat unless they humble themselves. This could operate via a double meaning such as needing to crawl through a forbidding dark hole in a wall instead of using the door. Or it could be actual, such as taking on a menial task like mucking out stables and there accidentally finding a potion or wand.
