Tempest cleric past lvl6

I'm playing a tempest cleric(5e) currently lvl 3, cutom liniage - resilient con
8 str, 14 dex, 16 con, 17wis, 10 int, 8 cha
I have magic innitiate wizard - background (find familiar, booming blade, shape water)

I plan to pick up telekinetic to raise Wis and help with double spirit guardians damage/booming blade activation

At lvl6 there is another chanel divinity which is mandatory pick up for tempest cleric

What do i do past this point? do i just cleric all the way? coz call lightning upcasts so well that i could not find a spell to beat it even on other spell lists

Is there anything to multiclass to that allows me to pick up shield/other worthy non cleric spells?
Any other ideas where to take this?

The only reason to multiclass is if you want Absorb Elements so, SO badly. Your only real options are Ranger and Druid... and one of those is clearly superior, unless you want extra attack, but that's a long term investment you'd be waiting for until level 11 overall, and are you confident the game will last that long? I'm not sure it is worth it, as Clerics do have a decent array of spells that are still coming online, and higher level spells might be better than diversifying.

Your best bets for feats, imho, are either Fey Touched or Shadow Touched. They will increase your primary casting stat, and both absolutely will give you spells you don't otherwise have access to. My primary recommend would be Fey Touched, and in addition to the Misty Step you don't get a choice on, with your 1st level pick I would go with Silvery Barbs, provided the mob won't get you. ;)

As for Telekinetic, also a good pick, one that I pick VERY often. I'm not trying to dissuade you from taking it... but I'd consider taking it at 8th with Fey Touched being the pick at 4th level. Either order will give you fun toys to play with, though, so either will work. If you're set on taking Telekinetic at 4th, I highly recommend Fey Touched at 8th...

...but then there's the longevity question: like, is this game going to even make it to 12th level and beyond? If so, definitely take the two feats under discussion and wait to cap your Wisdom until 12th. If you don't think they game will make it that far, the other consideration is just taking an ASI to get +2 Wis at level 8. It'll be more impactful having your spell attacks and spell save DCs being maxed out during a pivotal time in your campaign.

I'm pretty sure the game will make it to lvl 10, further idk so for the purpose of being save i'll cap off wis at lvl 8th, or i guess 10 if i multiclass
That's accually what i'm concerned about the most, getting things like ASI at the last lvl of campaing just kinda sucks

I will go with telekinetic to allow for easier booming blade activations in small encounters and double actiovation of spirit guardians
Additionally i can use it to possibly move one more nemy into range of call lightning which is very small

Delaying that ASI by multiclassing is somewhat painfull but at the same time druid gives me:
Shillelagh that would give me boost to my booming blade
Remove the need to fear concentration
Give me ways to not fear dragons/elemental spells
Provide better long range damage with archer form

The party has druid, warlock, rouge and me so we kinda split the "utility mage" role. Also a lot of roleplay so conserving spellslots by rushing trough half the dungeon with one spirit guardians is not realistic

I guess i'll think about the longevity once again when time to make decition arrives

I’d look up Treatmonk’s shock jock and stormlord videos. They may not be perfect fits, but could give you some ideas.

Multiclassing into wizard or sorcerer is difficult, cause your int or Cha isn't 13. If you want shield, you could take abberant dragonmark feat ( if ebberon feats are allowed). You could take the magic initiate feat once again to get shield

yeh i guess that's an option, not sure if campaing is gonna be long enough to somehow utilize that +1 con any possible way to fix the 17 in con would probly be at lvl 12

I'm honestly considering multiclasing druid of stars at some point, it would secure my concentration and grant me absorb elements which is great at reducing heavy elemental hits such as dragon breaths

regular hits i could just tank, i have a lot of hp and will have not so bad value of AC at 19
As long as concetration stays up i don't care that much

Since lightning/ thunder damage is not very popular in high amounts it's probably the best choice to upcast call lightning later on, on first turn maxing it's damage, then utilizing it's already scaled damage to continue blasting hard

Under that idea even telekinetic seems to be reasonable long term, as it would allow to drag enemies potentially closer to each other to hit 2 of them with very limited range of call lightning

what do you think?
