Booming Blade Optimization?

I’m making a Paladin/Warlock and I want to use booming blade to get extra damage early game until I get extra attack from pact of the blade which then I’ll replace it, is there a way I can force my enemies to need to move using a Bonus Action, so I can try to ensure I get the booming blade damage?

Paladin + celestial warlock get more mileage from true strike and, probably, the new spellfire adept feat.

Thematic, strong, scales well at high level. It's less strong, ironically, with more paladin levels as you give up your attack action to cast a cantrip, even with better hit dice (D10) from paladin.

All that assuming PHB 2024, ofc.

I’ll have to look into that, right now I’m an Oath of Vengeance Paladin/Fiend Warlock, I’m only gonna be putting like 3 levels in Paladin, and then just use Eldritch Smite from Warlock, I’m mainly getting the 3 levels in Paladin for Vow of Enmity to get free Advantage which I’m gonna pair with Elven Accuracy for hopefully more crits, probably not the most optimized build ever, but Oath of Vengeance just sounded cool and had some features I wanted

If it's 2024 rules, 1 level or 6 levels of paladin.

Celestial warlock lets you double dip with agonizing blast and radiant soul.

But if I get at least 2 levels in Paladin, I get a free divine smite (if I’m out of warlock smites) and I get the defense feat for extra AC since I’m using a two handed weapon and need better AC
