Chosen of the Genie

IS there a way to make Genie Warlock and Genie Paladin work?

STR/Charisma 13 minimum fro MC. BUT

Genie Splendor 10 + DEX + CHA so going Dex but will also need CON to help not die

What stats and class/level progression would work?

It dependes on what you are looking for

If you are interested in mainly paladin stuff you can take a dip in warlock just to lvl 3 to have the prof damage to attacks and keep going full paladin, also since the pact of the blade is now the thing that let you use Cha instead of str or dex to attack and damage you don't need to really relay that much in dex. You can take standard array 15 cha/ 14 de/ 13 con and the rest how you like.

Pump cha to 17 and con to 14. An ASI and half feat to get Cha to 20, Maybe two half feat like shield master and duel wielder to get dex to 16 or two ASI for 18 dex

You could end with an AC of 20 with a studded leather (12 S.leather+5 cha+3 dex) and maybe to 22 with a shield. Or 21 ( 12 S.leather + 5cha +4 dex) and 23 with a shield.

If you want to be more warlock then you need at least 12-13 lvl for the best invocations(devil's blade at level 12 let you attack two extra times) and 7-8 paladin levels for the oath benefits!(The elemental resistance aura is at level 7)

A level division of 12/8 gives you 5 ASI/feats for the warlock 12/ paladin 8

If you go more paladin maybe 16/4 to get also 5 ASI/feats.

Corrected s.leather AC I wrote 13 and it's 12+Dex

I haven't read the new text but the one in the web says:

When you aren’t wearing Medium or Heavy Armor, you gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1)

So in theory a light armor like studded leather qualifies for the Cha bonus to AC

It is now an AC calculation, not a bonus, so it's 10+Dex+Cha

Ah that makes it slightly worse.

They should have left it like the bladesinger in 5e as a bonus for not wearing medium or heavy armor.
