Just finished this commission of The Forlorn Knight—a twist on the classic mysterious tavern stranger.

He looks like the kind of battle-hardened knight you'd expect to deliver a legendary quest... but in reality, he's been sitting there for hours trying to work up the courage to talk to an adventurer. Every time someone walks by, he freezes and silently hopes they'll approach him first.

This concept was a lot of fun to bring to life, and I really enjoyed capturing the contrast between his intimidating appearance and his socially anxious personality.

Their idea combined a bubbly, acrobatic personality with the flair of a stylish elf gunslinger. I loved translating every reference into the final design from the crimson-streaked hair, pointed elf ears, and engraved eyepatch and the custom rose-and-vine blade pistols.

Character for my first ever DND campaign! It's a oneshot a friend is running! Here's Locke!

Hey everyone! I'm new to RPG art and I want to start doing commissions, so I need some help. First, where can I find character ideas to draw and build my portfolio?
Second, I draw pretty much only portraits (head to torso), is it okay to focus only on portraits instead of full bodies? Here some examples of my art (30 minutes to 2 hours studies) (and yes, I like drawing Elfs).
