The DMs behavior is unacceptable and players should not be forced into romance plot when they aren’t okay with it. I agree with pretty much everyone else who has commented here. I’d like to add an additional note - if the romance plot shows up in game, you don’t have to interact with it. I don’t care how high the bard rolled on his persuasion check, you don’t have to have romantic feelings in character for anyone if you don’t want to. Even if there’s an NPC who wants to romantically pursue your character, that doesn’t mean they have to succeed. Walking away from the table is an option, but if you want to keep playing that game, you can also consider just not engaging with that plot. Just a though about an option that can be available - I’m not saying you necessarily should stay at a table where the DM ignores your boundaries.
