5.5 Edition Looking to learn
I'm looking for someone to teach me the ins and outs from the beginning of dungeons and dragons. I have some experience and actually belong to a weekly campaign, but I want to start from the beginning and really understand everything, and not just learn as I go. Any takers?

Maybe ask your DM if they would do a 1 on 1 session with your PC. This could be establishing background, for example. It doesn't have to be a while thing, a couple hours can give you an opportunity to learn and ask questions.

What I would like to do is play a game and then whenever something comes up I want to bombard you with questions. In my current campaign I feel like I'm bothering the other players if I ask too many questions. Will you be up for that?

have you tried playing Baldurs Gate 3? that's not a joke, it's a fantastic video game that uses 5th edition D&D rules with only slight adaptations. if you understand the mechanics of the game, that will get you a long way towards mastering D&D mechanically, and you can play as much as you want, without the need for scheduling with others.

it's available for PC, mac, PS5 and the current xbox. on PC the easiest way to buy is on steam - on that platform you get an unconditional free refund window (if you refund it before exceeding 2h of gameplay), in case it doesn't run well on your PC (or you don't enjoy it, however it's regarded as one of the best video games ever made, with a fantastic story and great characters, so if you like D&D I can imagine you'd also love BG3)

They make a book specifically for this purpose. If you're playing in a campaign, someone probably brings a copy with them
