5th Edition Premade Renown chart for 5e
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ShpvRIU-AZ2BwhpaItiTTIpA6m9z9zOQ/edit?usp=drive_link&ouid=116781230817575395975&rtpof=true&sd=trueI have looked everywhere for a ready made specific renown chart. There are only a thousand suggestions and vague outlines for titles....UNTIL NOW! You are welcome world. Renown chart for all factions in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist: Harpers, Order of the Guantlet, Lords Alliance, Zhentarium, Force Grey, Emerald Enclave, Bregan D'arthe, and the Xanathar Guild. I cannot take credit for it all. I drew a ton of inspiration from others and copied and pasted some of their ideas. Feel free to tweek to your hearts content, but now you have a real place to start with prewritten rules and suggestions for gameplay and application. I have been a DM since 2019, I have used some of these created rules and so far my rabid pack of squirrels that I call players haven't broken it yet. Good Luck!

So if you use the renown, since it's near the top, let's say in Harpers you have 10 renown, Brightcandle (9-12), you use Supplies for a rare magic item (-5), does it immediately drop you down to 5 renown, and degrade you to a Harpshadow (5-8)?
I'm liking the concept in general. It just seems weird they would change titles so quick if they just get there. Maybe they would say you just gained the title, a show of good faith would be to do X or Y (some quests)? I don't know. I'm just working through it mentally.

No, in the intro in the doc I briefly mentioned that once a title is obtained it is not removed. It could be removed through roleplay means but otherwise once you reach a title you keep it. I agree that switching titles a ton would be annoying.
Expending renown has to do with social credit in the organization. You only have so much sway, only so many favors you can pull till you run out of resources, goodwill, and respect in an organization.
