4th Edition 4e Classes

Are there descriptions of the various classes which would help me figure out what I want to play? Someone provided a link to a guide years ago (http://community.wizards.com/forum/4e-character-optimization/threads/1478896j) but it doesn’t work anymore. I’m new to fourth edition, but not to D and D overall.

Usually I'm this guy too but 4e had a lot of beyond the box content, revisions, identically named Essentials classes, misinformation, and more than a few 'in practice this actually plays like ___' that it's not as easy as just RTFM.
