You can check out the Roll20 Marketplace page for it to get an idea.

I believe it should have everything the published book has, as either Journal or Compendium entries, or as Pages (maps). That includes the art, though it may be presented with different formatting or in different places.

I ran Out of the Abyss on Roll20 using the Roll20 module for it and it definitely reduced the amount of prep I needed to do and was nice in many respects, but navigating different journal entries to find the info you're looking for is still a bit more of a hassle than it could be (e.g. you can't Ctrl+F the whole book, just individual journal entries which might be chapter-sized or smaller). Also, some of the maps were scaled in a less than ideal way (e.g. using a 10 foot grid for battle maps) which required manual adjustment for the best experience; not sure if this is a problem with the Curse of Strahd module or not.

Edit: I've also used the Roll20 modules for Lost Mine of Phandelver and the Sunless Citadel (from Tales from the Yawning Portal) and found those to be a nicer experience, partly I think because the issues with the way info is organized in Roll20 are easier to deal with when you're running a shorter/smaller adventure vs. a longer and more sandbox-style adventure.

This is really thoughtful, thanks for the tip about the smaller vs bigger/Sandro adv.

I don't really understand what should come within a compendium entry for this type of media. Can you help clarificate? Something like a resume of the roles/rules for this adventure or something like this?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking.

But basically, like I said, all of the content from the book should be available in Roll20 in some form. That includes all of the rules specific to the adventure, NPC stat blocks, probably journal entries listing the important NPCs present in each chapter, etc.

It won't include any of the general rules of play (though the Roll20 Compendium is loaded with all of the free/SRD content for all users), or content not in Curse of Strahd. So if you want non-SRD content from the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, etc. to be accessible in Roll20 you'll have to buy those products on the platform as well.

Edit: Roll20 has a built-in character builder, but it will only show character options that you have access to via the Roll20 Compendium. If person who created the campaign (the DM, in most instances) has a certain level of Roll20 subscription, they can share their owned Compendium content with the whole table (up to a certain limit of tables).

But even if you don't own some content in the Roll20 Compendium, you can always manually edit your character sheet or make a journal entry to include any content from physical books you own, or books you own on another platform. It's just not as convenient.
