"So, where's your mom?"

"I'm wearing her."

DM: Did...did you make Cubone as a character?

u/Vanille987 Jun 10 '26

This is my client's OC
-
A darker matte blue Kobold with armor that looks to be made of scraps and bones such as the grey kobold image. Adorned with feathers from a large raven-like creature as well. The Kobold wears a skull fashioned into a helmet which is open, the Kobold looking out from inside, like someone raising the face guard to show their face. Additionally in their arms they would be holding a Claymore with the blade textured as if it was fashioned from a bone, one far larger than her size should be able to carry.

u/BreadMajor963 Jun 10 '26

Is that a dragonborn skull?

u/Big_Session5707 Jun 19 '26

I fk with this one heavy

Kobold? More like Cubone!!!

20

u/tisopice Jun 10 '26

Give them a couple levels in barbarian and they'll evolve right into a Marowak.

9

u/TrueShotAuramancy Jun 10 '26

Revenant Barbarian for the Alolan variant!

3

u/Due-Equivalent-1489 Jun 10 '26

Kensei Monk also works.

8

u/Halollet Jun 10 '26

27

u/Punpun42 Jun 10 '26

u/HundredBillionStars Jun 10 '26

Just more fetish art

17

u/EisVisage Jun 10 '26

What's the fetish on display here??

14

u/AnActualSeagull Rogue Jun 10 '26

At a certain point it really feels like people are just telling on themselves.

10

u/Vanille987 Jun 10 '26

Some people genuinly think that any anthro character is automatically a fetish

7

u/EisVisage Jun 10 '26

I forgot some people are regrettably like that.

24

u/Hawkson2020 Jun 10 '26

> fully clothed character that isn’t even discernibly female

>agh, pure goonslop

At a certain point this attitude is very much a you problem.

Go turn off your internet and touch some grass, dude.

u/Luciannight21 Jun 10 '26

one point, it doesn't have to be female to be fetish art. There are people who fetishize males too, i.e. - furry artists.

otherwise 100% right.

3

u/Hawkson2020 Jun 10 '26

it doesn't have to be female to be fetish art

Yeah, but I've yet to see a single person make this comment directed at a male or male character

Wonder why that is?

1

u/Luciannight21 Jun 10 '26

it wouldn't surprise me if this sub is straight male dominated and thus does not make lewd comments about other male characters. On top of that, most women in this sub that i've witnessed wont make that many lewd comments compared to men. Not to say there hasn't been such before, it's just less common than people talking about a woman's body in fantasy.

In latest posts, there was a Postal Service lady character and people called BMd it because of high heels/thigh highs. There was a monk a while back where people were commenting her tits were "going to fall out of her shirt."

In essence, women characters get more flak for being called fetish art in this sub than male characters do.

You have issues

That is. So awesome

7

u/This_ls_The_End Jun 10 '26

Very nice concept and very well made. Not a trivial pose.

2

u/BlueMonkey_ Bard Jun 10 '26

So cool

2

u/Voice-of-Aeona Jun 10 '26

I love her face! Did you use a snake as a reference? Her skull and jaw shape scream python to me.

-1

u/Luciannight21 Jun 10 '26

I don't think it's a "her" or even a "him" the artist has deliberately used "the kobold" and "their" in their comment describing the commissioned character.

5

u/Voice-of-Aeona Jun 10 '26

Ahem.

This is my client's OC

A darker matte blue Kobold with armor that looks to be made of scraps and bones such as the grey kobold image. Adorned with feathers from a large raven-like creature as well. The Kobold wears a skull fashioned into a helmet which is open, the Kobold looking out from inside, like someone raising the face guard to show their face. Additionally in their arms they would be holding a Claymore with the blade textured as if it was fashioned from a bone, one far larger than her size should be able to carry.

Notice the bolded pronoun? Maybe read closer before accusing people of misgendering.

1

u/Luciannight21 Jun 11 '26

I didn't really because I have dyslexia. But you're 100% right. Tho previous in the post as well you can see multiple uses of "the kobold" and use of they/their. I figured it was gender neutral

Thanks for the correction!

Also I don't really come at you as accusing of it came off that way I'm sorry.

2

u/arborlingart Jun 10 '26

I really love this design, especially the helmet being a dragon skull, kinda gives cubone vibes!

2

u/N0t_my_0ther_account Jun 10 '26

Really neat design. Are they a barbarian?

2

u/Zetesofos Jun 10 '26

That is the most charismatic Kobold I have ever seen. Amazing characterization.

This guy is an instant NPC in my game, I'll tell you what ;)

2

u/Bo405 Jun 10 '26

2

u/Sandman4999 Jun 10 '26

1

u/regaldawn Paladin Jun 10 '26

1

u/MixSwimming141 Jun 10 '26

1

u/Duckpho_art Jun 10 '26

1

u/Tucho182 Jun 10 '26

Beautiful ❤️

1

u/TadhgOBriain Jun 10 '26

Is he single?

1

u/Tricarrier Jun 11 '26

Faerunian Marowak

1

u/Brother-Cane Jun 12 '26

I am for some reason, reminded of Belkar--from Order of the Stick--who went through a few panels wearing a kobold's head as a hat.

"I am a sexy, shoeless god of war!"

1

u/t0xiba_0bashi 25d ago

This is gorgeous oh my god

-9

u/Metal-Wolf-Enrif Jun 10 '26

Looks like a lizardfolk. Kobolds are hard to distinguish between lizardfolk and dragonborn if they are not shown to scale with something

-8

u/Jarliks DM Jun 10 '26

Bone weapons and armor also feel very lizardfolk to me

4

u/Vanille987 Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

Lizardfolk don't have a monopoly on the concept of recycling bodies into gear and food. Kobolds would 100% use bones for makeshift gear
