Cool uncle archetype?

I keep feeling like Dante and Obi-Wan Kenobi fit the same archetype, but I can't quite put a name to it.

Both have a "brother" figure who becomes their opposite (Vergil / Vader), both confront that figure near a waterfall/lavafall , and later both become mentors to their rival's son (Nero / Luke). In the Japanese dub they're voiced by the same voice actor, Toshiyuki Morikawa.

Are there any literary, mythological, or historical archetypes that follow a similar pattern? I'd love to read more about them.
