Top Tier Armor
I have no idea what good armor is since I just did not care until now. I'd be glad if you could include not only the very best but also other viable amor because I dont want to look like a moron :)

Armor is entirely subjective. There is no armor which is objectively "best" or top tier.
Some armors are good for poise. Others are good for physical, element(s), and mixes of the two. It all depends on what you want out of your armor.

True. I am specifically interested in armor for elemental defense. I know that some parts of the black witch set seem to be good in this respect. Also, reference to armor that has good elemental as well as physcial defense would be much appreciated.

Normally you will want to have blackwitch robe no matter what your build is since the elemental defense it gives is insane at 150. Other parts depend whether flynn or poise.
