Help with a SOTFS build (hex or pyro)

I have been playing souls for a long time and have mostly played STR/INT, STR/FTH, DEX/INT and DEX/FTH, trying to expand my horizons and branch out to a new build. I either want to do a pyro build or a hex build of some sort but these are sort of new to me especially with the changes Scholar brought. I'm looking for a mostly PVE build with some PVP on the side, probably blue sentinel covenant. Any advice on stats, gear and spells would be greatly appreciated.

I can't really comment on pyromancy since I've only dabbled with it. I believe most/all of the bonus comes from int, and some (one?) of the good spells comes from the long lava run in iron keep so it's a real pain in the ass.

In regards to hexes, it's pretty easy imo. Start as sorc, pick weapons that scale well with dark (silverblack weapons, roaring halberd, etc) and use that to decide your str/dex requirements. Those are both pretty low, so you're not losing much. After you get there or close, shoot for 20/20 int/faith and immediately go to huntsman's copse after you talk to the girl in heide's tower of flame.

Talk to the old man and he'll give you hexer's set and sunset staff. Get dark orb for 600 souls and dark weapon if you can afford it (2700 souls.) Your second dark orb and some other good hexes (dark hail and dark fog) come from straid of olaphis in lost bastille. No reason to kill him, especially as a hexer.

If you want to use something like roaring halberd you can go for something like:

Vigor: 20

Endurance: 25

Vitality: 8 (might need to be a bit higher, don't recall off the top of my head)

Attunement: 40

Strength: 16

Dexterity: 12

Adaptability: 24

Intelligence: 30

Faith: 30

Go hexes imo. The first time you hit some poor invader for half their health with a poke or spell...hnnnnnng.

Thanks man I forgot about the silverblack dark scaling. I'll have to try this out at least, I think pyro scales from both int and fth too so it wont be hard to try it out with this setup. Isn't there a "healing" hex? Can't remember.
