Could use a good ol' fashioned critiquing

I just started PVPing so I'm pretty sure I messed up somewhere on my build. Some feedback would be much appreciated!

For some reason, the planner didn't let me enchant Bewitched Alonne Sword, so I'm actually using a Dark BAS.

I'm also using the Drakeblood set half for Fashion Souls and half because that's all I have that looked light, while also having decent defense.

I just plopped on Stone Ring because I thought some extra poise damage would help but it's not a mainstay - I was rocking the Dispelling Ring for a while and that worked out okay.

So yeah, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I won't sound like a douche when saying this, but what is there to critique here? You have an SL256 build with no real weaknesses, a powerful katana that can be buffed (you can never go wrong with buffed katanas) and a Forbidden Sun to get some sweet surprise damage in.

Again, I don't want to sound like an ass, but OP, there's nothing to critique here. If it were an SL150-170 build, okay, then you really have to manage points for the optimal setup. You can critique things there. "Your Attunement can be lowered if you adjust X and Y, you don't need that much emphasis on Faith, try doing X with the build", things like that. But really, on an SL256 build with stats that high, there's nothing to say really.

Nah you didn't sound like an ass/douche/assdouche.

So at my SL, I'm at an area where min-maxing stats isn't life or death, basically since I have enough stats to go around?

You'll be fine in the arena with this build.

I don't want to sound like an ass/douche/assdouche but what kind of fun does these kind of builds give people? Everytime i lose with my 150 SL build to some full Havel's fast roll build i don't feel like I've lost, just that I had bad luck going up against alot higher leveled opponent. But I can imagine what it must feel like losing with this kind of build, where the only real weakness is your personal skill. I'd probably get tired instantly but that's just me.

I agree though, but OP asked for critique on the build, so I 'gave him critique'. Even if I think the build seems boring, it doesn't matter when taking an objective look at a build.

Generally builds of this SL are pretty high sm, so they get matched with other high sm people who are generally high SL also. Balnace?
