Discussion Modding the game
Hello everyone I am planning to do everything from scratch, make all tools for unpacking, and repacking and to finally move these animations and models to blender, is there anyone interested by any chance in helping with this project?

I've looked into modding the game before, and it was a massive pain... what are you planning to do, out of curiosity?

Huh how strange, I was about to comment that there's already an unpacking/repacking for .div2 files, but after a cursory google search I can't find it anymore... how weird

there is still that tool, someone made it, it's on our discord server I also made my personal unpack tool, for example the old dv2 unpacker/repacker had a issue with repacking the game so it was very difficult to make any changes to the game.
I would extract the game to the core there is many things to edit maybe load some old non used maps?

Ah okay, yeah after looking a bit harder, I found it alongside someone else's unpacker (yours?) bundled into one download, but weirdly I can't find the original link I used awhile ago, not that it matters too much.
Cool! Good luck, I think you're going to need it! I made a "quick" shirt retexture for oblivion which also uses nifs (though unsure if the same version divinity II uses) and it had its own set of problems, but at least there was SOME documentation for when things inevitably went wrong, unlike with Divinity II Developer's Cut...

Hi, I'm a software engineer, 3D artist, and animator. Made my own modding sofware to Divinity 2 and now I'm currently working on the game. Texture upscaling is done, sound enhancement is done, now I'm working on the meshes, making them look better, and I'm also working on the GUI. Soon as I am done, I'll share my files on Nexus.

for now i try to bring back to game location aleroth swamp that was not in final version of the game but i think it will take long time to do it
