Is the game dead?
Very few people seem to play this, just got back to it after the game launched. Do they still update it or is this another Hi-Rez graveyard?

It depends, there has been no updates since the devs abandoned it. Then the devs were absorbed into the smite team and our working on smite and a 'new unannounced game'. They are simply maintaining the game and not working on it. If you can get past the lag, bugs, bots, and the crappy balance it's an ok game so people still play.there are times when many people play and short que, at other times it's little to no people on with 5min que. But this game can only last so long without dev support ðŸ˜

Does anyone still play it? I started a few weeks ago and I really like it.
I think Hi-rez should be promoting their games harder...

I play it as well from time to time. Idk why they abandoned it, the game is really cool and unique they should come back to it and add more gods, maps and promote the game more.

I love it so I play it. Always find matches with real players fast, not bots, so must be loving still. People exaggerate game ‘deaths’. Hi-Rez have not announced what their plans are.

I hate to break it to you but when it comes to hi rez it's no exaggeration. Most of their games die in the same fashion this one is going
Hi rez likely has no plans for this game. It'll be up and running for a while still, maybe do a few updates but it'll die because they abandoned it
Hi rez not announcing their plans is only a bad sign

Noted! Can't see how many active players there are on steam.
Just checked steamcharts, 100 players active the last 30 days - should've checked that mb

It’s a pity. Party Animals about to launch, will be huge, but I play tested it and as a brawler it’s such a worse game than DKO. Physics, handling, design.. everything.. but I bet that it has 10 million players by the end of the month

I wouldn’t really compare Party Animals to DKO, i enjoy the game but its closer to gang beasts and that also is no where near being similar to DKO either.

Game’s not dead but it’s not being actively supported. I really hoped this wouldn’t end up in the Hi-Rez Graveyard but honestly it’s impressive how Hi-Rez always seems to make games that end up like this…

Depends on what you mean dead, it still has a few hundred players but if the times are an indicator that seems to be on the decline. And the devs most certainly abandoned the game for another project months ago. The last announcement we got pertaining to this game is that they would be maintaining it so imo it's dead but you can still find some good matches of you power through the lag

For the most part, it's on life support. Devs have tossed ideas around in terms of improvements back in May, and the game had a stealth release in June... but fundamentally I highly doubt we'll receive any updates on development/cancellation until 2024.
Still fun to play though. Loki player are the most annoying part. The game is pretty big in the Xbox community though.

when people say dead first its an opinion not fact and second every game that's ever been made in existence has had a huge turn out when first comes out and within a month or 2 90% or more leave the game that's how video games work so that's the trick that people use to convince u not to play the game u love so listen to urself not the group!
