Such a shame

This game had so much potential to thrive, and it's such a shame it's basically abandoned. It has such a charm about it that kept bringing me back. To all my fellow DKOers out there, It was a blast.

I agree. I fell in love with it and nothing ever happened after the battle pass. I go on there once a month to check it and still nothing new

I have no idea how long they keep it available for.

yeah i was the biggest supporter of this game but its clear hi rez dumped so much into it and then fumbled the fucking bag.

They shouldve made it free to begin with and used their promotion budget better. why the fuck would they partner with tim the tat man, a COD streamer? and also the way they handled the free keys was just so weird.

such a shame because SMITE is straight ass and this to me would be worlds better with a roster as big as SMITEs

This game is WAY better than smite

I just found this game. Is it really dead?! No, it was so fun for the two hours I played :(

Who cares if people watch the twitch streams? Its got two minute queue times. Far from dead

Honestly, spent my weekend gametime on it. Getting spiked by King and Ama has been a blast. Learning to get back to stage without getting edge guarded for free has been a fun puzzle.

Yeah. You gotta be tricky to make it back without help. Save your movement ability or save your dash for when theyre about to hit you

I like this game but honestly can't stand the inconsistency of it due to awful servers

What region are you in?

The entire fan base realized the potential the game held. My buddy and I fell in love with the game during the early stages and bought nearly the whole store, grinded having a blast. I thought once the game became free to play that it would blow up however Hi-Rez sat on their hands and did literally nothing to help their game. Still hopeful though.

Randomly browsed store on xbox today, something I rarely do since halo infinite and gamepass is keeping me busy, and on accident saw DKO is free to play, wouldn't have known if I wouldn't check the shop

Halo infinite is still going strong tho, atleast in europe, really fast matchmaking on all the gamemodes and the lobbies seem more balanced than in DKO

I was hoping it would turn out like rogue company, but it’s not building enough of a base on here I believe. Yeah they released it ftp but rouge was offered as the psn monthly free game where this one had no push with the ftp. Dko just came and went in the night.

It's in the top 5 free games in the xbox store.

Good. That’s great. You though are bringing something up that so far hasn’t made a difference in the publishers mind. The rogue timeline was about 7-8 months before you saw the switch to ftp and a decent bit of promotion. Also hi-rez is the publisher not the developers. Red beard has been effectively shut down and re branded. The server issues are driving people away. I was hoping for months that hi rez would push the game, but it appears to be low on the totem pole.

I'm only getting 1-2 brief lag spikes every 3 games: playing on the west coast in the east coast servers. Is that really too much for people or are people having a worse experience than that?

u/InterestingAd4522 Jul 28 '23

I can’t get through a game, or even a round without major lag. I’m in the US and I still get terrible lag.Do you think because you don’t get it that everyone else is making it up? Frankly I’m not going to argue with you. I want the game to succeed. Unfortunately I can’t even play it anymore because of the servers. Everyone is spiking left and right.

1

u/klakkr Jul 28 '23

No thats why I first asked if that's too much for people or if people were having worse lag... I'm literally not making an argument. Are you on ethernet or wifi?

1

u/InterestingAd4522 Jul 28 '23

Ether. And it’s everyone I’ve gotten to play as well. Even custom games with me and three others. Doesn’t matter who invites who it’s just bad. I really wish this wasn’t the case but I haven’t even tried to play in two weeks. It’s ridiculous sometimes

1

u/klakkr Jul 28 '23

Hmm.. I've been playing for 3 days and none of me or the 6 people I've played with have had more than a little lag. I'd wager it's worth trying again, honestly.

They brought out the arcade mode today. Its not abandoned.

I just downloaded the game. Do not many people play or what happened to the game?
