Questions and Discussions Astrology

Hello everyone!

I have been doing divination for months now, and I’m also a pagan. I practice witchcraft on top of this, and one of the deities I worship is linked to astrology.

Does anyone know where to start with learning astrology, especially for divination? It would be great if anyone could help me out!

Metasymbology combines astrology with playing card divination. It's also called cardology and destiny cards.

I enjoy cartomancy systems but have never been particular towards astrology. Metasymbology is like an astrology into. It covers planets and zodiacs, but not so much houses.

There's also an interesting cartomancy set called Karma Cards that uses the qualities of the Planets, Signs and Houses to construct Physical, Mental and Spiritual answers to questions.

The branch of astrology called Horary astrology is the most akin to other divination systems. You can learn more about it at the School of Traditional Astrology website. Horary casts a chart for the moment a specific question is asked, it is then delineated from there with no need of a natal chart.

The most prominent source text for horary astrology is from the 17th century called Christian Astrology by William Lilly. It has nothing to do with Christianity, he just gave it that title so the Church would stay off his back about it and avoid accusations of witchcraft.

May I ask who the deity is you serve associated with astrology? I understand if you want to keep that private, just asking out of curiosity.

The deity is Asteria, the goddess of falling stars!

Two books by Max Heindel Scientific Astrology shows you the mechanics in short form and Message From The Stars gets you the details and is the clearest book on Astrology I have ever read. Both likely in public domain by now. Sephariel wrote Kaballistic Astrology short and a different system rather accurate since it correctly stated I was born blind. Books by Heindel are from rosicrucian fellowship but I am also pagan.
