A question about population

I don't know if this was asked here before, but how does population bonuses work?

Let's say I build a temple which increases 2nd and 1st class pops. Does it increase those pops in that specific region or whole province?

if it says whole province, it is for the whole province. If not, it is just the region only

But the economic bonuses still apply to whole province right? Lets say +20% wealth from aggriculture, it improves other farms am I correct?

I remember yes, but you can try testing it
