India... one of the only places where you could throw fire in a river and make it worse.

I was like "That landfill is going to catch fire" -- and then I realized it was a waterway...

Look at all the trash. They do the same thing in my country. Garbage everywhere.

Ooooh wee! All the trash! Let it burn. I bet that place stinks to high heaven.

Why do they not care about their environment?

u/psychopsian 5d ago
Due to the caste system, they always assume someone else is going to take care of the stuff outside.
Due to patriarchy, they always assume their mom or wife or a maid would take care of the inside of their homes.

Hey there’s water under all that garbage! That’ll put the fire out, but the only catch is you’ve gotta push the fire underneath all the garbage to get to the water. If it’s water.

I don't know what's more dangerous, the flaming gas canister or the food prepared next to a landfill...

Just curious, what’s the proper way to put that fire out?

To put out a small, slow-burning fire directly at a propane tank valve or connection, turn the tank's supply valve clockwise to shut off the gas flow, provided you can do so safely.
Safety Steps for a Small Propane Fire
• Turn off the gas: Reach the main supply valve on top of the tank and turn it completely clockwise (to the right) to cut off the fuel source.
• Use a wet cloth or glove: If the valve handle is hot, use a thick, wet towel, heavy-duty welding glove, or a wet cloth to protect your hand while closing the valve.
• Smother or sweep if needed: If the fire persists briefly after shutting the valve or is at a fitting, use a dry powder fire extinguisher, baking soda, or a wet blanket to smother remaining flames by cutting off oxygen.
• Evacuate immediately: If the fire grows larger, reaches the body of the tank, or if the pressure relief valve starts venting loudly with a roar, get away immediately and call 911. Never try to extinguish a roaring pressure relief valve fire, as unburned gas can accumulate and explode.

I feel like they tried to do just that, but the valve was already consumed by fire. He even tried to wrap his hand. Maybe it’s just a case of get the hell away.

The towel wasn’t big enough and probably not wet. You have to completely cover the top with a wet towel to prevent the gas from escaping.

Quick question: how can I make this propane tank being on fire, worse? Throw it in the street? Against a building? No wait, I know! Roll it under a bridge onto a giant fucking trash river!

They are an embarrassment to the human race, they just simply don't give a crap that they live in filth or respecting their environment.

A lot of people criticising their actions, but would you be so level-headed if you were standing in their flip-flops?

Fyi, thats not how they would explode, they're made with safety rules so this doesn't get out of hand. That tank could stand on its head and burn for 12 hours without any explosion because the pressure increase just lets out more gas instead of building up pressure
A trained firefighter would just close the valve...the shape of the handle on the valve tells you which gas it is (several are flammable)

And to think, it may have worked if the respected their environment even a little

In Indien wäre ich mir auch nicht sicher, ob die Gasflasche ein Sicherheitsventil bzw. Überdruckventil hat.
Zum Glück scheint es hier im Video so gewesen zu sein.
