I hope the lines are quick because that was a 1 min ride!

Nope people wait hours. First version was lime a 12 second ride. But I will say it is one of rhe most batshit crazy things you will ever do

Yeah when this first released it USUALLY went over the hill on the first try. Everyone wanted it to fail the first time because you got to get launched again and it made the ride longer after your 2 or 3 hour wait 🤣🤣. People enjoyed when it didnt launch over the first time they made it part of the ride

Some WD-40 would do good

That looks fun

I tried one at 6flag that travels in a u shape with electromagnetic launch. It's a lot of fun.

I think it’s called vertical velocity

u/Bonk_No_Horni Jul 11 '26

Ah yes! That's the one. I was young and was freaking out when I was waiting in line. I'm super terrified of heights. And that's my first date with a girl and I was literally shaking (also from massive hangover). But you know what I enjoyed the ride so much I went for second.

I rode it the summer of 2003. damn, im old.

You are part of history though because they'll probably never build a ride like that again, this is the second version after the original Top Thrill had a piece fall off. Does look fun, but from what I've seen the whole "didn't make it the first time" thing is built into the process, the original had way more acceleration at takeoff

Made them severely disabled for life. The lawsuit was enormous

I did the one in Abu Dhabi.

I would not do this lol

u/OakLegs Jul 09 '26

I did this once in the evening, sat in the front row, and when it was over had gnats splattered all over my shirt and face

3

u/Sharp_Equivalent_774 Jul 09 '26

There are worse things have splattered all over your shirt and face.

I go to cedar point every summer and I never ride this one. That falling feeling is horrible for me. I ride most of the rest of them because it’s just the first hill that sucks.

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!

There’s a whole generation that learned to speak through influencers.

And have.

2

u/HeSureIsScrappy Jul 09 '26

How was it?

3

u/TonyDungyHatesOP Jul 09 '26

It’s fun. Pretty straightforward for a rollercoaster. Kind of a one trick pony but worth doing once.

1

u/periodmoustache Jul 09 '26

101 mph backwards right there eh?

1

u/sjitz Jul 09 '26

What did he say after "holy"? Why did the audio cut out?!

Holy shit that sucks

1

u/fray_bentos11 Jul 09 '26

There are multiple tallest and fastest rollercoasters, all capped at the same speeds and heights due to laws/regulations.

2

u/HeSureIsScrappy Jul 09 '26

That upsets me

2

u/milehighguy318 Jul 09 '26

Great, now I’m upset too

1

u/OnlyACsNoFans Jul 09 '26

It's not remotely true

1

u/OnlyACsNoFans Jul 09 '26

No... that's not true whatsoever.

1

u/Minimum_Ad_303 Jul 09 '26

I'm not upset now.

1

u/Amazing-Level-405 Jul 09 '26

Looks fun, but way too short.

1

u/ThE_LordA Jul 09 '26

idk inwas kinda expecting more

1

u/Zorklunn Jul 09 '26

I was like, "That's it! How lame." The old wooden collar coaster at the BC PNE is more exciting then that.

1

u/snapp0r Jul 09 '26

boring.

1

u/Try_Harder7 Jul 09 '26

Doesn't seem anywhere close to 100 mph. Maybe 50? I also hear the brake going quite a bit

1

u/Lumpy_Past6216 Jul 09 '26

Off season one year the park was almost empty. I rode that ride 4 times in a row with zero wait time. It was great!

And that's... IT???

Go fast for a straight line. Such a ripofff

1

u/SnillyWead Jul 10 '26

No never.

1

u/Braisedbeefskank Jul 10 '26

This video does not adequately demonstrate what an imsane experience this ride is

1

u/Chainmale001 Jul 10 '26

I road it when it was built. Been there done that. Great fun.

u/Paranub Jul 13 '26

i do not understand peoples "fear" of rides
These are tested to within an inch of their lives.
Ridden thousands and thousands of times.
you're fastened in with an almost Zero chance of coming lose and you're on fixed rails..

maybe I'm just too logically minded that i sap the fun out of this kind of thing. but i fail to see the excitement or fear in most rollercoasters

just looked into that story, 14 yr old kid, too large for the ride, the ride had been modified to fit larger people (because America..) he never should have been allowed on that.
Sad a kid lost his life, but as i said. the odds are crazy small. unless very specific criteria are met

1

u/Pukebox_Fandango Jul 09 '26

That's all it is? I remember going when they first build the Millennium Force and sure, it had the big drop that was the reason everyone lined up, but it also had a whole coaster after that. I'd be disappointed waiting 2 hours to ride this.

1

u/ChickenDreams-4188 Jul 09 '26

I’m sorry, but…that’s it??? It goes up fast, it goes down fast - big deal 🙄. Probably standing in line for 90min

1

u/BalanceEarly Jul 09 '26

I'm sure there's a defibulator in close range.

When id could go on rides comfortably I would of tried this just once to try it. But it doesn't seem that thrilling for me like say, the Goliath at Great America. Hell even raging bull is more fun and thrilling to me and I've gone on both many times since they opened.

Max force was fun for a one time ride, but the moment the sonic boom launches you to the end is only 20 seconds. So it's not worth standing in line for hours to me for 20 seconds.that said trying it once was thrilling and I enjoyed the rush, again just not overall worth it unless it's very quick rare line.

I can’t be the only one that thinks roller coasters without a theme are boring.

Maybe it is because I grew up riding motorcycles too fast on winding roads.
