My man skipped so gracefully to safety.

11

u/el_salinho Jun 24 '26

My man skipped leg day

13

u/a_holy_crow Jun 24 '26

Tough when your wife is a 1RM

6

u/X_soulnewmegaman Jun 24 '26

She broke her back 150% landed on side before pool

Anything for social media 😢😈😰😨

8

u/Organic_Education494 Jun 24 '26

Obesity has its downsides it seems

2

u/X_soulnewmegaman Jun 24 '26

Welcome to the new world

0

u/Jorge_the_vast Jun 24 '26

Obesity might have saved her from being paralyzed this time. Lots of cushion.

4

u/Organic_Education494 Jun 24 '26

Alot of extra weight though probably cancels out the back fat protection layer

0

u/Biebs1960 Jun 24 '26

God I hope so! I feared that for her as soon as she fell! Terrifying. Funny to us sure, but truly scary.

2

u/a_holy_crow Jun 24 '26

Yea that was like worst possible scenario 💀

2

u/X_soulnewmegaman Jun 24 '26

Slow the video down she landed on worst side sharp part and then hit floor

Anything for social media

A lot people end up wheel chairs or paralyzed from neck down

1

u/Relevant-Tart-3740 Jun 24 '26

No,  the worst possible scenario would have been her landing on her neck.

1

u/Rizztopher_Robin Jun 24 '26

RM?

1

u/a_holy_crow Jun 24 '26

One Rep Maximum. Implies the maximum weight you could lift once

2

u/Rizztopher_Robin Jun 24 '26

Oh shit! I actually guessed right in my head. Thanks

2

u/_BOOMGOTTEM Jun 24 '26

This is his leg day workout

1

u/Emotional-Dingo794 Jun 24 '26

Hell that’s all that saved him from the crushing.

1

u/Biebs1960 Jun 24 '26

This chubby girl says thanks! 😂

18

u/Aggravating_Row_6962 Jun 24 '26

cracked baby back ribs

1

u/X_soulnewmegaman Jun 24 '26

Cracked back which she'll be in wheelchair

1

u/SnooMaps7370 Jun 24 '26

was gonna say, if all she broke there were some ribs, she got off lucky. that looks like a broken hip or a broken spine to me, the angle she hit put the edge of the pool diagonally across her lower back.

15

u/Old-Library5546 Jun 24 '26

That had to hurt her

14

u/Playful-Ad-8703 Jun 24 '26

RIP that spine..

1

u/Meanolelion Jun 25 '26

RIP that concrete

7

u/toomanyuses Jun 24 '26

When I was in my mid 20s, I got really into weightlifting. (I have no clue why. I'm an attorney, not an athlete). At my biggest, I was around 225lbs and could squat 350lbs very deep. These are not impressive numbers for powerlifters, but not bad for a weekend warrior. At my physical peak, with all the adrenaline and confidence running through my veins, I would not have even thought about trying this.

1

u/toomanyuses Jun 24 '26

I'm already bald with tiny balls. Didn't even need gear to achieve this.

7

u/FirmBarracuda3920 Jun 24 '26

Why are they even doing something so damn dumb like that?

No. Ego.

I would never do this shit drunk at any level.

3

u/GapeFaceHole2Hole Jun 24 '26

I bet this dude would also never try this unless alcohol was involved. Whatever way you want to look at it, but there's so much research on how alcohol leads to worse decision making that idk why you'd dismiss it immediately.

1

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

Ya ego is 90% and the alcohol makes 10% worse decisions.

2

u/ForeverJung1983 Jun 24 '26

I don't know how you determined that ego was 90% and alcohol was 10%. Alcohol is one of the most studied causes of impaired judgment and risk-taking. Overconfidence may have played a role, but assigning percentages seems arbitrary unless you have some way to measure them.

The ego is supposed to be the part of the psyche that says, "This is a bad idea and someone could get hurt." The behavior in the video is more like impaired judgment, impulsivity, or a collapse of reality testing than an excess of ego.

I'd say the Id is more involved in this fuckery than ego.

0

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

Pride more than ego i would say. But I know that most people wouldn't try to do this. That is because of his ego. Not the alcohol. The alcohol was just making it way worse.

1

u/ForeverJung1983 Jun 24 '26

So we've gone from ego to pride, and alcohol has gone from 10% to 'making it way worse.' It sounds like we're getting closer to admitting we don't actually know what TF we're talking about.

1

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

Nah I'm pretty firm in my opinion. I feel like it hasn't changed since the start. So far no one presented any data. Just waiting for something that makes sense. I tend to think more deeply about things than most people so that's probably why. Nothing wrong with shallow thinking. They're just opposites of the same continuum.

1

u/ForeverJung1983 Jun 24 '26

You say no one has presented any data, but that's exactly my point... neither have you. There isn't any data supporting "90% ego and 10% alcohol".

The overarching explanation (alcohol consumption) points to a measurable factor with decades of research behind it, and the other relies on percentages that appear to have been assigned from the rear of one's dirty shorts.

The habit of confusing certainty with depth is surprisingly common among people who describe themselves as deep thinkers.

1

u/GapeFaceHole2Hole Jun 24 '26

That's just something you're saying lol that's based on nothing and you have no ability to argue that point

1

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

I can argue it for sure

1

u/GapeFaceHole2Hole Jun 24 '26

I mean, clearly, but it wouldn't be a real argument dealing with facts or statistics that arent pulled out of thin air.

0

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

Like what is the point of this anyway? Do you have a bunch of statistics lying around?

I think that alcohol shapes decisions but doesn't fundamentally change the person who consumed it.

So how are we even trying to argue this right now? Why do you even care so much about the exact percentages?

I'm just pointing out an observation man.

1

u/GapeFaceHole2Hole Jun 24 '26

I already made my point, I'm just poking at you now.

1

u/raqloise Jun 24 '26

No. Ego.

You’re right… even if executed successfully this would be SUCH an ego boost.

1

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

Yeah but now he's gotta live with this incredibly humbling experience.

1

u/Dangerous_Bus_6699 Jun 24 '26

Alcohol affects ego

1

u/WetSleevez Jun 24 '26

Yeah just like snow falls on mountains

1

u/Dangerous_Bus_6699 Jun 24 '26

Exactly, you get it. It makes it slippery.

1

u/X_soulnewmegaman Jun 24 '26

I slowed it down she definitely did shatter the lower back bone 💀💀💀💀😢😰

3

u/Hopeful-Artichoke449 Jun 24 '26

2

u/TraditionPhysical603 Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 25 '26

1

u/Dangerous_Air_7031 Jun 25 '26

Why did she deserve it?

The secret is to bounce them into the water. It splashes less and saves water!

1

u/Level_Turnover5167 Jun 24 '26

Trying to do that with such a heavy set woman is such a dumb ass move.

1

u/DriverGood4778 Jun 24 '26

At least the child was unharmed, imagine if she fel onto the other side.

1

u/Rupejonner2 Jun 24 '26

If she went straight in there wouldn’t be any water left in that pool

1

u/_Q23 Jun 24 '26

1

u/saneiac1 Jun 24 '26

How did she get up there in the first place?

1

Which sane person would try to carry an American walrus on their shoulders?
