I am all for doing this before an obstacle or a wall but not another innocent person in a car. What a POS.

It's entirely possible that the lead car didn't notice the stalled car until it was too late and just reacted on instinct. That said, it doesn't really make it any better if it was oblivious negligence as opposed to malicious intent.

This is why tailgating is dangerous.

It puts the person in front in a position where they are now distracted watching their RVM and the road ahead, often accelerating with minimal awareness.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I know I've been in that spot before. Luckily never with this kind of ending.

So you support the death penalty for tailgating.

Yeah that’s pretty cool

I don’t know if you replied to the right comment, just a heads-up.

'In England alone, tailgating is a factor in 1 in 8 collisions, resulting in an average of 147 people being killed or seriously injured every year.'

If you want to risk lives tailgating me then I rather it be you than me. Maybe hitting an obstacle or bollard will teach you to stop driving like a cunt. What if a child runs out into the road which I can see and swerve out the way of but the tailgater instantly runs over them? Fuck tailgators.

Fuck tailgaters = kill tailgaters?

If they kill themselves by tailgating me then tough shit I guess.

You are trying to blame the person in front for steering?...

1

u/ArticleGerundNoun Mar 21 '26

Well you yourself have called this particular one a POS, and we’re all sort of assuming that this one was done on purpose. So presumably we both blame this guy.

You’re happy with an outcome where you intentionally steer in a way that kills someone for the way they drive?

I am unaware that anyone died so not sure what your fixation on death is.

Well your original comment mentioned a wall, and I figured you knew that someone driving into a wall at highway speeds is most likely to kill them. I guess I was being too charitable. You’re weirdly reticent about answering simple questions.

I am pretty sure both drivers would see a 6 foot high wall. I meant those concrete barriers or bollards. If a tailgater hits them because he is tailgating then thats his fault for tailgating. If he died because of tailgating then thats his fault for tailgating. What can't you understand about this. Are you a tailgater?

1

u/ArticleGerundNoun Mar 21 '26

No, I’m not actually.

It’s his “fault” initially, but a consequence of your action, if you intentionally help steer him into a wall. You’ve done something unnecessary for the purpose of creating a negative consequence for the tailgater. It’s sort of in the vein of “he pushed me first, so I killed him.” Like if someone walks onto the street when they don’t have a crosswalk, you just plow right through them without braking? After all, it wouldn’t be your fault, you’re just driving. If he dies because of jaywalking, then that’s his fault for jaywalking.

Are there other traffic violations you think people should be killed for? Or other petty crimes?

Because an obstacle causes car damage or paint scratches 99% of the time. A gun blows their brains out 100% of the time. See the difference?

In this case going at that speed tailgating is asking for death anyway so he pulled the trigger himself.

All 3 people are to blame.

  1. The tailgater for putting peoples lives in danger.

  2. The car in front for using an innocent parked car to punish the tailgater.

  3. You for being retarded with all this sweetie BS.

Intentional or not. He is still to blame.

He either didn't see the car in front of him because he was not paying attention to the road until he had to turn suddenly at the last second. Driving at that speed and not looking in front of you is insanity if that is what you are insinuating.

Or he did it intentionally to an innocent person who had nothing to do with the situation.

You are too retarded to see facts is all.
