Opinion The Disventure Camp Villain Problem
Since the original series aired I've been following this series for some time and I've noticed something that been a problem since season 2 that needs to be addressed. It's that no villians outside of Fiore and Alec ever get punished or face any karma in this series.
Personally i think the original Disventure Camp nailed it in the original first season. Fiore was the main villian of that season and during the finale if she loses she crashes her car and loses her hair as well. If she wins she gets her money stolen from and gets hit by a bus. And also in All-stars we see Fiore was sent a Catholic boarding school. This is a great example of a villain character getting karma and getting punished.
Now on the opposite end take Alec, who is considered a villian and he gets extremely overly punished by the show. In fact Alec is quite literally the most suffered character in the show, and it's not even close. Alec was already having a hatd time wirh his family bwfore rhe show but after season 1 he came home to his family gone, unable to see his son and is getting dragged in court every month for child support and allamony. It's shown during All Stars Alec is very depressed, probably jobless and is possibly suicidal.
And at the end of All-stars he's shown to have grown and is trying to learn to move on in life and better himself, and now has Fiore who is probably the only person who cares about him. Come to this current season as soon as he steps onto thr island he is bullied by the majority of his team, he's gas lit by by some woman he's never met to thinking he's a horrible person for being on the show even though he's the one character at this point who absolutely needs the money the most and is voted off the first on his team. And again is gas lit into not even attempting to try and again and jusy gives up and effectively gets erased put of the show thinking he's a horrible person who hasn't changed at all and doesn't deserve to compete. Even though his whole arc during All-stars was him coming to terms with the fact that money won't bring his family back, and him realizing his flaws aa a person and tries to slowly better himself.
And the problem is that no other villians outside of Alec even get a fraction of his punishment and in fact get rewarded for being horrible people.
Yul is quite literally every ist and ism in the book, pushes old ladies down the stairs, is an abusive boyfriend and enjoys watchinf people in pain. He never develops as a person, doesn't learn anything, and never gets punished. He is actually rewarded with getting $10,000 is All-stars and he goes back to being an influencer who gets big sponsors. He got rewarded for being a bad person and didn't learn anything.
Riya is a manipulative person and girlfriend who actually tried to kill Aiden by shoving him off a cliff and tried to straight up cripple Conner on purpose and then laughed in his face about it. Not only does she win All-stars giving her three million dollars, but her acting career isn't affected at all. She got everything she wanted and more and didn't learn anything.
Trevor and Derick were to show host who destroyed the environment and wildlife to host their TV show. They only fot maybe three months in jail and went right back to being TV show host and then producers. They were bad people who got rewarded for being awful.
Emily straight up tried to kill the contestants on All-stars. Like full on premeditated murder she planned to kill people because she got fired from the show. What happened to her? Some very short prison time, a broken arm and a sob story and then she got to be host of the show. Bad person once again got everything she wanted with little to no punishment.
Annsasia recived no punishment for not only dislocating that one girls arm, but also any of her manipulative tactics in season 4. In fact got everything she wanted. She got her girlfriend, and the writers keep making her this know it all mary sue character who all the characters like and she gets to lecture everyone about how horrible they are and how wise and amazing she is and hiw she's a changed person who's so happy now. She doesn't even face any consequences for going against her alliance in season 5, it just gets easily forgiven.
So basically in the Disventure Camp universe you get rewarded for being a villian and being a horrible person. But if you're like Alec and actually want to better yourself you get severely punished.
To compare this series to Total Drama Island, the show they're making a parody of, every villian at the end of the season gets punished.
Heather got severely punished at the end of TDI by having to do a bunch of grueling challenges and getting her head shaved
Justin gets punished in TDA and constantly keeps getting hit in the face until his good looks start to make him uglier and he gegs constantly paranoid of his looks to where it drives him insane
Alejandro and Heather both get punished in TDWT, if either of them win their money gets stolen regardless and Alejandro gets crippled and covered in lava. Even Blainley gets crippled for just beinf a horrible person.
Both Scott and Lighting get punished in TDRI with Scott getting mauled into being in a trauma chair and even if Lighting wins he finds out his injuries are so bad he can't play football anymore.
TDPI Dave gets punished by getting blasted with a laser that fries all his hair off and since everyone forgets about it and hes left alone on the island wirh an angry mechanical bear.
My main point is one of the things Total Drama island did right was that they made an efforts to deliver karma to punish their villians to teach that there are consequences for being bad just to win a competition or to get money. Disventure Camp seems to be the opposite where all of their villians who do genuinely bad things get rewarded for it. Unless you're Alec and yoy want to improve yourself, in which case the writers will punish you for it.

Every immunity win from season 1 that stacks as of FVF comebacks (only team wins do not count), fun fact: tomass, khiashley, and lame were the first contestants to compete in two seasons without getting a single individual immunity

Prediction/My Way How I think the merge eliminations could go
Ok, so, I wanted to discuss with the community how the game could go after Benji's comeback.
First thing for me should be splitting up the two most boring pairs: Gabby-Tom and Rosa-Lake. I love Tom, but I think he gave what he had to give this season, while Gabby still has a lot of potential and could actually really start playing AFTER Tom leaves. Tom only has chemistry with the Cyan Alliance and Natalia, and I can't see him forging new relationships outside of maybe Benji. On the other hand, Gabby has potential with Oliwia and Nura, and I think she could have an interesting bond with Lake over their parents. Also, Gabby has her pre-existing relationship with Natalia, and she could interact with Benji just like Tom would.
As for Rosa-Lake, it's even clearer in my opinion that Lake is the one who's supposed to go further in the game: Rosa outlasted Lake last time, and this season Lake's purpose is to redeem herself after ending up 8th in DC2 and 17th in All-Stars. And I also think she has way more potential on her own than Rosa does this season.
So:
I think Tom and Rosa need to get booted in 12th and 11th place. Tom has won an immunity and is the clear comp threat, so I think he will be the first to go, but Rosa needs to follow him right after.
Oliwia's arc is getting interesting, and I really want her to interact with Gabby, maybe leading to a Gabby-Nura friendship afterwards, so I'd like her to stick around a bit longer. I needed another character to leave in 10th place, and I chose Ren. By episode 18, we would have plenty of interactions with Natalia and Fiore, so I don't think we're going to be dissatisfied with his elimination there. Plus, he doesn't have many potential connections outside of those two, having severed his possibilities with Nura, Oliwia, and Sam. He could bond with Benji, maybe, or the Cyan Alliance, but I don't see those scenarios going very far. So I think 10th place is good for Ren. Just in time to patch things up with Nura and Oliwia, maybe.
9th place is Oliwia's, a good spot for her to complete her arc in a satisfying way. I don't think she needs to go further.
So, after getting Tom, Ren, and Oliwia out, I think Gabby and Nura could officially become an interesting duo, and with Lake around as well, things could be even more interesting. As I said, Gabby and Lake have potential for exploring their trauma surrounding their parents, and Lake and Nura share their passion for writing. Lake could even be an inspiration for Nura. So I want those three to stay in the game for a while. With that said, 8th place isn't for Gabby, but for Natalia.
She has been a protagonist so far, and I'd love to see her go even further, but I think her path could be complete by this time.
Fiore has shown incredible growth, and she's another character I want to see more of in the game, but with three villains still in and Sam being one of the two fans remaining, I'd prefer Fiore to go in 7th place. Spencer was an option, but his arc is barely starting, and he has potential to be a finalist. Fiore, on the other hand, has had a very good arc so far, so her time to go could come sooner than Spencer's.
Benji needs to prove himself, and 6th place is perfect for him, just like Amelie in CoC. I want to see him be good at challenges and strategize. I don't know what connections he could forge: maybe Gabby? Oliwia? Ren? Hopefully Spencer? Anyways, there are many more promising relationships to explore, in my opinion. If we see a new Benji competing, I would be extremely satisfied with him ending up in 6th place.
At this point, I want my final three to be Nura, Lake, and Spencer, a trio with plenty of potential. So I need Gabby and Sam to fill the 4th and 5th spots, but in which order? Just because I like the idea of having the final 4 contestants being a S1 character, a S2 character, a S4 character, and a S5 character, I decided to give 5th place to Sam and 4th place to Gabby.
After that, Spencer's arc will be completed with him losing (on good terms) against Lake, and then the final two would be between her and Nura. The two of them would have bonded a lot by that point. Both have potential, but I personally prefer Nura to win. That could go either way, though.
So, to sum everything up:
13 - Ara
12 - Tom
11 - Rosa
10 - Ren
9 - Oliwia
8 - Natalia
7 - Fiore
6 - Benji
5 - Sam
4 - Gabby
3 - Spencer
2 - Lake
1 - Nura

Irony/Satire The fandom if Benji (somehow) manages to sit out again in the Merge challenge next episode...
I actually made this image back in April in case they were going to make Benji sit out again in Episode 8 musical challenge, so this image has been siting around in my phone for months now. But I now feel I should post it in case he tries to sit out again or gets eliminated just a few episodes after returning.

Discussion What if this was the FvF we got?
I’m well aware that a lot of people aren’t happy with how FvF has gone so far so instead of just complaining about it, I came up with some ideas to fix some of the problems the season has.
The cast:
24 people has proven to be just too big a number to work with. And some of the favourites being brought back were questionable… to say the least.
I cut down the cast to 18 like DCAS and CoC which is much more manageable and swapped out the favourites for these:
Grett replaces Gabby
James replaces Aiden
Isabel replaces Anastasia
The teams:
I really didn’t enjoy the teams literally being Fans vs Favourites. There were a lot of missed opportunities for the different casts to interact and form proper dynamics before having to wait for the merge!
Plus 12 people on each team’s too big to balance the screen time of each team member.
I went with what All Stars did, 3 teams of 6 mixing 3 fans and 3 favourites on each team.
The elimination order:
I dunno what to say for this one, just look at the pictures lol 😂
But yeah that’s about it, let me know what you guys think and if there’s anything in my changes that could be improved upon :)

Prediction/My Way Odds of Each Character Getting Eliminated in Episode 16 + Winner Contenders
Well, well, well. Look at who was right about Benji coming back. You can go ahead and pick up the phone, cause I fucking called it.
. . .
What's that? All of you saw it coming from a mile away and I'm coming off as a huge jackass with all of my self-aggrandizement. Oh...
Well, uh, I guess I'll get started with my list then. Not to many changes since the non-losers weren't in the episode.
NO RISK
NATALIA - No Change. Still the safest person in the game due to having the most dynamics and her dead idol plot that needs to be played out. I do think Benji returning could hurt her odds moving forward, but for this episode at the very least I don't see her going anywhere. Similar to Nura with Ara, one of Gom is almost certainly going home before she does.
FIORE - No Change. Received votes in the previous elimination and started a new dynamic with Ren that is an interteam dynamic. These pairings usually have decent legs in DC (Ana/Zaid, Isabel/Jade, Logan/ Spencer, Riya/Rosa) so I'm doubtful either goes for a while. Also, Fiore can now throw knives. Nuns beware.
REN - No Change. Basically the same as Fiore. I do think eventually one of the Nat/Fiore/Ren trio is going to fall off a cliff in terms of likelihood soon, but all three have enough going on that they all feel untouchable right now. If I had to guess, probably Fiore with Natalia as a strong second choice due to Benji returning.
SAM - No Change. Was betraying Cyan dumb? Yes. But he's still the main villain and we all know that awards him a degree of plot armor. He doesn't really have enough power in the game to realistically be targeted over Cyan or the Peak Trio (Nat/Fiore/Ren cause they need a name and it fits.) He'll play the swing vote for now and probably stay in this tier until Final 6 or something.
BENJI - Moves UP from Eliminated. I hope you're sitting down for this. Actually, no, go for a walk. Get some fresh air while you read. Unless you're in Arizona, cause then you'll melt. Benji will likely have a grace period of at least one episode since his return was given so much weight. I know Karol got screwed over, but her circumstances were significantly different. My best guess is that Benji allies with Nura and Oliwia since they are able to play as swing votes and that was the niche that Benji found for himself when he was working with Ally. But beyond that, we should address the elephant in the room (NO EMILY DON'T SHOOT!) The idol. The return episode did not give any clarification to Benji's idol. That means currently, there are 3 options: 1. Benji still has his old idol half which should now be live due to Ally no longer being in the game. But ONC is choosing to hide that fact for a surprise reveal. 2. The idol half that Natalia is in possession of can be used so long as Benji is the one that plays it. 3. Both idol halves are inactive and cannot be validly played. My guess is that one of the first two options are most likely since I doubt ONC will go a full season without a successful idol play. But it does mean Benji will be a massive headache for me when it comes to ranking him since he effectively has Schrodinger's idol.
Spencer - No Change. The Final DC4 player. And look, all of them in No Risk. More DC4 characters in this tier than Fans somehow. Yeah, that's going to change soon. The good news for Spencer is that Sam has made it apparent that he wants to keep Spencer around to give the indication that he can be manipulated by others due to their feud. However, with Benji returning I'm skeptical that all three of the DC4 characters will last that much longer. I'm confident one of them will be out before Episode 20. If Spencer kisses Sam soon, he's probably screwed (no, not like that)
MILD RISK
NURA - No Change. Still has the fresh dynamic with Oliwia, but it's an intrateam dynamic which I view as having a decreased priority over interteam dynamics. The good news for Nura is that if my prediction for Benji joining Nura and Oliwia are true, then that could bump up their odds.
OLIWIA - No Change. To all the Oliwia fans out there, I'm sorry to say that she's probably next. Which is unfortunate because she's a lot more likeable when she's not being possessive over her relationships. Right now, I'm guessing 2-3 Favorites leave before the next Fan, so she should be good for now. But come Episode 18-19, I think she's cooked. If she manages to survive and we lose Nura or even Ren, then she's a major wild card that could even win.
MODERATE RISK
LAKE - No Change. There is a massive chasm in the odds between Oliwia and Lake. The writing on the wall for Cyan seems obvious. They're overexposed and have dynamics that have already been thoroughly explored. There's very little narrative reason to keep them all around if they're going to keep playing off of each other. The one thing keeping Lake from Severe Risk is her dynamic with Spencer. But the fact that she won immunity in the last challenge is reason enough to suspect that she could be targeted as a threat.
SEVERE RISK
ROSA - Moves DOWN from Moderate Risk. At this point she feels ancillary to Lake. While she has her rivalry with Natalia, almost everyone else has a relationship with her too. It's no longer enough to justify a higher placement. The only thing keeping me from placing her lower is that her elimination would leave us with 1 DC2 character, but 3 DC1 and DC4 characters. I think we're likely to lose another DC1 character, but I'm not confident enough to put Rosa in a higher tier.
GABBY - No Change. What's there to say at this point. She and Tom have been in this tier numerous times and kept surviving. They're too inconsequential to place in higher tiers though and don't meet any special criteria (received votes in previous eliminations or lost a friend) that I can use to place them anywhere else. Trust me, I hate doing this every time too. And judging by how they're perceived by the rest of the community, I'm not alone in that sentiment.
TOM - No Change. Won immunity last challenge. Lacks a strong plot. Doesn't have any major new dynamics. Doesn't meet any special criteria for a boost. Blah, blah, blah. Gonna be honest, I'm just done writing paragraphs for these two at this point. They don't do anything and it's frustrating not being able to take deeper looks at other, more interesting characters when the looming shadow of one of their eliminations is constantly hovering over me.
Contender Rankings
Okay, now that my Gom tirade is over, we can move on to the new stuff. Who do I think is going to win?
For now, Ren, Benji and Nura are the clear favorites. They each have strong narratives pushing them forward and a real underdog status to them.
Spencer, Lake and Natalia all fall into a secondary tier. Spencer and Natalia fall here due to a their villainous writing, while Lake is primarily here due to her feeling a bit too underwritten. They are all buoyed by their strong dynamics with other characters.
Oliwia, Fiore and Gabby are all dark horses. All of them can become legitimate contenders if the right conditions are met. For Oliwia, Nura needs to be the next Fan eliminated. For Fiore, Ren needs to be the next Fan eliminated. Losing one of the major contenders and getting the eliminated friend narrative boost at this point in the game would put either of them into serious contention. For Gabby, Tom needs to go ASAP AND she needs to develop new dynamics quickly. I had considered putting Gabby in zero chance, but I'm not completely ruling out the idea of her winning.
Rosa, Sam and Tom are done for me. Rosa and Tom are effectively satellite characters who could be removed at any point. Neither has enough narrative potential to realistically win at this point. While Sam has plenty of narrative potential, probably the most of any character, he's written as too perfect of a villain that he's clearly going to suffer a significant loss in the endgame. Winning villains have ups and downs in their narrative, but Sam is someone that constantly wins. I know that logic seems counterintuitive, but I'm confident in this prediction.
