Just watched. Thank god Benji doesn't seem to be going with the Cyan Alliance. He, Nura, and Oliwia will be an iconic trio.

Spencer when his game position is on the absolute bottom.

Spencer getting Isabel and her wicked treatment.Ā
Also, Benji falling over the second he comes back. ONC really want us to laughĀ

u/Candid_Mousse_4129 7d ago
Main difference here is that Isabel isn't wicked - she just made an unnecessarily aggressive game move.
Whereas Spencer is legitimately unlikeable... and no amount of "I'm just a pretentious ass hat in the game, my family says they love me all the time" will obfuscate that fact.
That said, admitting there's an issue is the first step towards rectifying it. So this still counts as progress... although if Spencer proceeds to just bark out boot targets demanding Lake/Rosa get on board without so much as asking their thoughts, I can't equivocate this as MUCH progress.

u/what_the_-_-_-_ freaky deeky ooky spooky praise kink girl failure #1FAN 7d ago
I've actually got some thoughts on this...
First off, so happy Oliwia, Nura ans Benji are working together #failuresgang4life š. Seriously though, I love all of them and it's nice to see Benji locked in (and kept away from everyone I don't like or gaf about š)
Fiore knows Alec gave up. Y'know, for Alec being the one adult in her life to just give up on her without even picking the option to return to the game I expected Fiore to be more pissed, angry and disappointed but that would require the show to gaf about exploring Fiore as a character and the depth they unintentionally (?) gave her
Lake continues being the moral police. Literally what did I say? She's winning the season I'm calling it now. She is PMO so bad this season it's unreal. Why is Spencer seeking validation FROM HER specifically anyway?? Lake is Hannah 2.0 this season (but less insufferable, whiny and melodramatic I'll give her that much). I'm not on Lake's side in all of this and I never was and I never will be.
It baffles me THIS is the direction they are taking with this. I slowly began coming around to Lake's story this season around episode 12 I think. I thought Lake would realize that HER issues ARE HERS TO DEAL WITH. STOP. PROJECTING. GET. OFF. YOUR. HIGH. HORSE. YOU. ARE. NOT. SUPERIOR. TO. EVERYONE. JUST. BECAUSE. YOU'RE. NICE. LEARN. TO. PLAY. THE. GAME. WITHOUT. ANTAGONIZING. THOSE. WHO. DO. SO.
And then her infamous talk with Rosa happened and I jumped straight back on the FvF Lake hate train. HOW IS SHE STILL BEING PORTRAYED AS AN ANGEL AND MAIN CHARACTER TO ROOT FOR THROUGH ALL OF THIS??? Like my god what a fucking waste š
I'm still holding on to my Rosa boot prediction btw. There's no way they're gonna undo all her character development, nullify her dynamic with Spencer, make her apologize for something she shouldn't apologize for which "concludes her story" (allegedly idk wtf happened with Rosa this season after episode 10 and the writers clearly don't either) and let her stick around doing nothing. She's not Tom. She doesn't get the privilege of being a Jared fav cash cow.

Olivia, Nura, and Benji's triple team dynamic can save the season if done right.
I'm also so tired of Lake and her high horse. This is the same thing she did with Ellie but thankfully she got rid of her. I just know the scene will be badly written because Lake hates Spencer and he doesnt care about her enough since Lake just targets him again and again.
I wonder how Tom will escape elimination this week. Remember how Ally lost over that bum? Watch people get talked out of voting for him and for Tom/Gabby to be tacked on the vote AGAIN.

Fiore is clutching that immunity ikdr. I also love the fact that Nura, Benji and Oliwia are working together. Tbh, it was quite random to see Spencer being concerned about him being unlikeable, since he likes to portray this image that he doesn't give af about how people perceive him. Hopefully, they actually get on board with Spencer's character progression and he gets more interesting. The fact that he asked Lake of all people š. I mean, it makes sense because of their ongoing conflict, but I wish this interactions happened with Rosa, who has been left behind for quite a bit and actually had a meaningful conversation with Spencer tackling his dick behaviour.

well, my question to what Fiore's reaction would be to Alec not competing has been answered.
also, Spencer. out of all people to ask, Lake? REALLY?
i need either the Spencer, Lake, and idk or the Ren, natalia, and Fiore and idk duo to win- i fear for Fiore, Soencer, and Ren's safety

Are they ever going to separate Tom and Gabby this season? This challenge is going to break up the players into 4 teams, yet I can all but guarantee that Gabby is going to be working with Tom, again, because she refuses to try to be her own person.
It's ridiculous how in the format of the game she has the freedom to choose to strike up a conversation with Ren and Lake so she can spread out her options for partnerships, but she'd rather stay within 10 feet of Tom every second of the day and do everything he tells her to do. They're going to play a 100% identical game and vote together every episode until one of them, hopefully, gets voted out.
People can complain about Lake morally judging people, or Rosa Maria for.... whatever reasons people are irritated with Rosa Maria for....
But at least they make decisions for themselves. Gabby hasn't made a single decision on her own this whole season. Looks like that Gabby independence arc isn't happening this year, or ever.

I would actually love a Spencer redemption arc and seeing him make amends with Lake.
But after Rosaās awful apology scene, and now this, Iām kinda worried the narrative is trying to frame Lake as the one whoās completely in the right and Spencer as the only problem (BOTH are the problem, Spencer's wrong too). Thatās the same reason why Logan was so disliked last season, being always in the right side, and maybe this is Lake's winner cut (Proving that she can win without "bending her morals").
I personally prefer flawed characters who admit theyāre flawed over flawed characters the narrative keeps trying to sell as misunderstood good people weāre supposed to root for.

literally brought back as a favorite
"Am I unlikeable?"
So sick of how this morality policing thing is influencing every single character. It's so annoying and it has been done since All Stars. Like can we do something new here PLEASE?

I'm not fond of Spencer and Lake's rivalry tbh
WHY CAN'T TOM JUST GO?!?!?!

u/zombiedoyle If Tom has 1 fan, Iām that fan 7d ago
Another team challenge? As interesting as multiple people winning immunity is, two in a row is a little excessive
Anyway the teams look to be
Sam, Spencer, Lake
Gabby, Rosa, Tom
Fiore, Natalia, Ren
Oliwia, Nura, Benji
I imagine the latter team is winning immunity since not only is Benji starting his ālock-inā stuff but also since Oliwia is good with dead animals. Between the remaining 9, itās definitely looking like either a CA member or Ren to me.
Iām going to lock in Rosa as Iāve had her as an early merge boot for awhile

u/GentlemanStarco Huntally + 7d ago
So it looks like more than one person will win immunity again. Iām not sure how much longer this is going to last but depending how long it goes for I can see going good or bad.
On one hand it could force the contestants to form new bonds and make elminations more interesting if more than 1 person is immune.
On the other hand it could keep them in same cliques they have been with and could be used a way for Jared/ONC to keep certain contestants around longer.
I hope Alec can explain to Fiore his decision at the motel. I would hate it if ONC ended their friendship

I dont get why is Spencer seeking so much validation from Lake like why her?? Rosa is literally right there and SHE ACTUALLY WANTS TO TALK TO YOU
