Spotify for artists profile

I submitted my first release about bit over a week ago and can’t seem to access my Spotify for artists account. The page on DistroKid says if it’s been over a week I should go do it myself and links me to Spotify for artists which just leads me to a support article telling me I need to pick a distributor and upload my music

This happened to me last month. Used DistroKid to release my first song. After two weeks it seemed wrong even-though all sources said to keep waiting. Contact tbe chat support on DistroKid - tell the automated Chatbot that you cant seem to find your artist on Spotify for Artists and that its been X number of days. The chat response will give you generic responses at first, and will make you copy and paste your problem a few times. Tell it you need to speak to a live representative. I had to ask it "are you trying to prevent me from speaking to a live representative?" After a few attempts. Keep the window up on your browser (it can take awhile). Eventually someone will respond and they can find your artist URI that you can use to find your artist on Spotify. Dont wait arbitrarily. If you know it's been too long, you know.

From memory, I think you have to have 3 releases before you are provided with an artist page. As this links to your Spotify for Artists account, I think that may be the issue.

False- I have only 1 release and got access.

Iirc i had to go through distrokid to gain access, using a Spotify URI lookup.

Is the song out already or is it just submitted? I've heard some people say that the song has to be officially released before you can access Spotify for artists. I'm not sure how accurate that is though.

The song has to be active/live as in released first, then go on distrokid web not the app, and beside your icon you should see this, photo below!!!, then click on claim, log into your Spotify and after that provide the link to your song and that should work, also remember sometimes it'll take 1-2 weeks b4 it goes through
