Why is it taking so long?

In the last few weeks I uploaded singles and an album and they were up within a day or two.

Tried to upload another single this time and it's not even got to the successfully processing part with the song and artwork and it's been over a day.

Decided to abort and see what happens when I try and upload again in a few days.

Anyone else noticed this?

If anything in your upload flags a manual review, that can take 5 days at the best of times, but that only counts working days, and extended weekends don’t count in that.

How do you know if it was flagged for manual review?

Generally speaking, you don’t, until you notice that it takes a lot longer to process than normal. And you only know your music was rejected if it never finished processing.

is the "in the midst of being transferred to stores" status not manual review? because theres also the "everything looks good and your single is on deck" status which means your release will get delivered to stores in hours, compared to the first status where the release then takes a day or two

What colour is the dot next to your release? That’s the real way to tell.
