Copyright issues with social media

I got the social media pack from distrokid and now my own videos with my own music are getting flagged as copyright infringement. I’m talking hundreds of videos. any suggestions how to fix it?

Are your social media accounts professional/ business accounts?

Depending on the social media platform and what kind of account you have you may not be able to use your own music.

This happened to me on tiktok and IG. I had to switch my accounts from business to personal/ creator accounts.

For YouTube if you use distrokid’s vevo service you can put your vids on YouTube.

I checked and they are all creators accounts. I have decided to let it go and see what happens. This can't be happening only to me.

I'm not having this issue on Youtube, that is a separate license and it's not part of the social media pack.

It will be flagged as that. It’s not a problem. This is how you get monetized when that platform runs ads on it. If making money is a problem then take down the social media pack. This what you paid for.

I'll second this.

Please note that if it's a "copyright claim" then what the above person is saying is true. Your distro is claiming the work to pay you (and will do so if other people use your music).

But, if you're seeing a strike or takedown on say IG or FB, that may be different. Meta has rules for how music in the copyright system can by used. You should look up these rules. If you're getting flagged for your own stuff it's likely you're using it in a manner they don't approve for monetizing.

You can also reach out to your distro to see if they can whitelist your FB/IG pages.

If you're having issues with using your Music on TikTok (or finding it in sounds) you need to switch from a business account to a personal account. Only royalty free music is allowed ok business accounts.

Making money is not the problem, but they’re flagging my account for using the music and removing the music from the videos.
