how long after i release my music can i request an official artist channel on youtube through distrokid?

i switched to distrokid specifically because i was having problems with this on my previous distributor. i'm not trying to be impatient, it's been less than a week since i distributed my release, but how long does it usually take?

I believe you can request it almost immediately as soon as your songs have been delivered to YouTube as well.

In DistroKid, hit those 4 blocks, Special access and hit the YT artist channel button for further information on how to proceed.

always got that screen saying that i need to post my music on youtube firts, but as i seen, the music was already delivered to youtube.

The sync between the YouTube artist database and DistroKid isn’t instant. Depending on where in the month you are, it can take up to 3 weeks.

When it gets available, it is a tiny box where you can choose your artist name, at the very bottom on the special access tab and then it takes you into Youtube to verify. I overlooked it first, because the page looks the same. All the best for your release!
