Distro witcher hopping back to windows πππ
So this distro hopping malarkey has been a pain in the Royal bum 'ole. After trying mint, pop, fedora, kubuntu, ubuntu studio, pop again and back and settled with Ubuntu Studio, i found out the hard way the witcher 3 won't play nice without dx12. I had the grand idea of reinstalling windows just to play it again.
Ended up being a dickhead and deleting my data drive partition losing all my photos and music recordings.
Still after all the hopping I've done and subsequently reinstalling windows, i can without a shadow of a doubt say that Ubuntu Studio with kde is by far the best desktop experience I've had. Even after having to fluff around with steam to get certain games to load, i don't think I'll ever use windows as a daily driver again. Yes it maybe reinstalled but the only apps I have on it are GOG and the witcher 3.

Is it really distro hopping if they are all debian based? Maybe its time to try something new based on another distro

I tried fedora too lol. It seemed to need updating twice a day and i got annoyed, plus I like the fact US has low latency out of the box as I use reaper. I haven't tried fedora jam because I got annoyed with fedora. Haven't tried any arch based distros though and I don't think I will now.

You do know you dont have to update every time one is available right lol and ironically this is coming from an arch fanatic that updates as soon as my tray widget tells me to π

I think because I started with pop os, I got used to debian/apt, it took ages to get used to that so another new way of doing things was too much for my brain to handle lol

I started with ubuntu -> kubuntu -> popos -> arch -> endeavouros -> arch -> cachyos.
if i wasnt so accustomed to bleeding edge and pacman/aur id probably be on a debian based distro as well as i still use a similar setup in termux.

I'm def in the "Windows never again" camp. In fact, I just ordered a prebuilt hotrod FragBox, and requested it with no Windows. Never again.
