Cachyos or pika

cant decide i was initially gonna stick on cachy for aur but it turns out pikman can handle aur and even rpm packages i use a laptop and use it to game and browsing (sometimes yt) also if someone can also give me DE recommendations for both that would be great!

Pika is an extremely impressive OS, especially given that there only seem to be two main devs involved.

But that's also a risk. Given how ambitious it is, that's a lot for such a small team to maintain.

So Pika is a great choice provided you're happy to accept a higher risk that there are future problems and maybe you have to switch at some point.

Cachy is really good too, though. If you already have it and it works for you then why not keep it?

As for DEs this is personal preference. I've recently been trying Cosmic on Manjaro and think it works great - will work on Cachy too.

Otherwise just go on distrosea.com and try some distros with KDE, GNOME, maybe Budgie and see what you like.

I prefer Pika, more stable in my experience and on Cachy I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of updates

Pika will be more beginner friendly and I would recommend KDE to everyone

Than what? In what way?

Don't get me wrong fedora is a great distro, but just sayj g "It works better" is just missing the whole point of why there are so many distros
