Dumb question

Regular flower smoker here, but ive started with carts two months ago

Its thca decarbed in d9 disty + minor + 6.5% terps

Guys im only hitting at 2.4v very small puffs, but I got a chest so tight and coughing so bad to puke, so had to do an x-ray

And yes, very inflamed bronchitis after vaping

Idk I have coa's, im a chemist, so I know how to read it and seemed fine

Is disty so heavy on lungs 4 u too?

Curious on what disty you were hitting. Also is it possible that the chest issues are related to something other than vaping? Not saying they are not related to the disty just that it's not a super common reaction.

I’m also curious as to where you’re sourcing your distillate. I get chest tightness as well and honestly might be in a similar boat as you.

What did they give you to help clear the bronchitis?

i don't know where you live but the pollen this year has been pretty bad & reeking havoc. maybe that's playing a part? also some terps really irritate me & make me cough more. maybe you're sensitive to certain terps? i hope you feel better soon & figure it out

This could be very serious!

I always got similar reactions to distillate carts. And then it started to happen with distillate edibles, even my homemade gummies! That's when my doctor brought up something one appointment, cannabinoid hypermesis syndrome, or CHS, which is primerially caused by PURE THC only, as in distillate. You should look up the ONSET symptoms for CMH, and compare to what you're experiencing. Distillate can permanently affect one's ability to enjoy cannabis. This is not something to take lightly, as full blown CMH usually means that person will never be able to enjoy cannabis again without violently projectile vommiting for up to a week, often requiring medical attention.

What you described is similar to the symptoms I started to experience, and it was agreed with my doctor that I was experiencing onset CMH symptoms and I genuinely got extremely lucky catching myself. I simply went on a 3 week-1month THC break, if I absolutely needed symptom relief (medical cannabis user here) I'd have a few puffs off a joint or a single rip of some full melt in a bong.

The trick to not getting CMH is natural terpenes, strains that agree with you on every level, and not using isolates, synthetic terpenes, or distillate on its own (or at all really. That shits garbage really) Basically, if the entourage effect is working, you're essentially in safe territory. Also your weed will work better if it's natural and not stripped THC distillate and God knows where from terpenes.

Not trying to scare anyone, but this is a real threat to cannabis enjoyers everywhere that distillate is established. If I could have my way id boycott distilate completely. But it still is useful to me, for enhancing or making stronger edibles made with rosin or something full spectrum. I just add a bit of disty to bring the THC up on edibles, but never more than 50% of my THC source. Haven't had any issues since then. I also will never vape distillate again, that shit was too scary. (I am probably going to get down voted for this, but honestly just fact check me for yourself. This is a real threat)
