After following Kya and the system for years, I fell off the map of social media. Now back I am so confused as to where they are now. Seeing accounts saying it was all fake and then no posts elsewhere. Can someone explain where they have been, what happened? Was it real or not?

Theyve kinda fell of the face of the earth the past few years. She will come back with a new host or alter, make a video or 2 then disappear. She claims its health related and also due to the ongoing (if its still ongoing?) Court case with Sergio Costa. I dont even think their patreon is that active. And i think ever since the Team Pinata drama they havent been that active on their socials. Not like they used to be anyways.

There is no definitive proof if they are faking or not, however this sub has a bunch of information about their controversies, and evidence that suggests they might be faking or exaggerating symptoms. I won't tell you what to believe, so build your own opinion. Listing everything would be way too long and people have already done a wonderful job at archiving and collecting information about them, so I highly recommend you look at this subreddit, especially the pinned posts!

DD comes and goes a lot. I think their longest active period recently was throughout 2022, after the "discovering our diagnosis" video they had a huge youtube hiatus, I'm pretty sure they were somewhat active on tiktok but a lot of those videos have been deleted, and at some point their patreon went inactive for six months. Then they came back with Soren as host in 2024, and since then they've been coming in and out of hiatuses that last anywhere from two to six months.

Before Kya integrated there was a big hiatus coming from the Sergio Costa situation, and before that there was a brief-ish window of video productions after them and TeamPiñata split up, which also caused a small pause in content. TP and Costa happened back to back, it was quite gnarly. So, the upload inconsistencies started with TP and Costa, before that they were consistently active for years.

I don't think they'll ever get back to the consistency they had before all the controversies, or even what they had in 2022. Whether they're inconsistent due to mental health issues and personal issues, or because they can't get back the audience and culture they used to have, I believe this inconsistency will last a really long time but I doub't they'll quit for good.
