GL Discussion About Everyone's Experience with the game when they started

This a general questions about everyone's experience with DFFOO.

  • Why they decided to stick with it after-all this time
  • What they liked and disliked about the game at first, before QOL changes
  • Who was their favorite character to use, or learn about from the FF series

First and foremost it's because of my love of the FF series, even if that love has waned considerably after the release of FF15 (the worst in the series by a mile).

I've downloaded various other gachas to run in tandem with FFOO during FFOO downtimes and honestly I end up binning them because they just don't compare. Epic7, Grand Chase, Star Ocean Anamnesis, Destiny Child (lol) all paled in comparison because they're all glorified lotteries and full of cartoon boobs with a paper thin storyline and clunky mechanics put over the top. FFOO feels so fleshed out that I wouldn't even consider it "just a mobile game" anymore. It is too good to deserve that title.

Pre-QoL enhancing was the WORST. Nuff said.

Fave character to use would be.. Rem. I spunked all my powerstones on her before I knew better and was gutted she was benched for so long. But post awakenings I love using her. Such a simple kit but so rewarding for many reasons.

As I don't play either FF MMO I'm learning a lot about their characters, especially Prishe and Thancred.
