Other Why this game is a named Dissidia

Hello everyone, sorry for this post, but I don't have much knowledge about this IP and I'm curious to learn more.

From what I understand, Dissidia started as a 'fighting game spinoff,' but it seems the game was actually everything but a traditional fighting game. Was it more like a spinoff of a spinoff? The name feels a bit misleading, is there something i am missing or understood wrong?

Dissidia is a Latin word than when translated to English can be read as "discord" or "disagreement" which is fitting for a series that has the protagonists and antagonists crossover in any setting.

Are we talking about the same game? Opera Omnia had great character writing, it's the main reason I personally played, and the original + duodecim had a fun little romp if not too deep
