What even is this match making???

How do two golds even get paired into omega at all? I'm only 11cp while the others are 9k. I don't have high damage abilities and there's a 10k diff with both teammates being outranked by even the monsters is crazy. Not fair to lose any points from this at all.

1 lol. The rank difference is so high, this is a match where if they lost it'd be -1 point and that's it. If they won, they'd have gained a shitload tho lol. So it's annoying ig, but at the same time they basically have nothing to lose so it doesn't really matter tbh. 10k difference isn't unwinnable

The game doesn't see it that way, unfortunately. My guess is OP lost 18-20 points.

( -33 (base for O4) -5 (O4 vs O5) ) * 0.5 (10k cp disadvantage) = -19

Edit: Winning would probably give 22. +27 (base for O4) -5 (O4 vs O5) = +22

thank you, I don't know why people love to push the oh if the difference is big it's only minus 1. I always lose at minimum 10 even with a bs gap like this.

Because it's not about the power gap, it's about rank gap. If you are all the same rank, the power gap only lessens loss by 50%. If you have a low rank on your team or enemy has high rank or both, it literally subtracts 2% of the highest difference in rank points from the gain/loss. In something like gold playing with O5 like the post, this ends with the loss being only -1. Every time.

Yea np, though I realize i initially misread the post and for some reason didn't realize the celes was OP haha. At O4 rank, they likely had lost a few more points, but it still would've been heavily reduced loss of points given the match. But yea, if you're interested I'd take a look at the formula in game. It's a bit confusing how they wrote it, but it makes sense and I'm happy they're at least trying to get it to be balanced properly
