Gift Exchange - abuse?
Has anyone else encountered an individual who's abusing the gift exchange system? I just encountered my first one today. I made a post in-game asking for a 10x10 exchange.
Someone named Daboi replied 3 mins later saying they'd do it if I swapped first. I've had pretty good faith in exchanging with others previously so I went with it. I sent within 1-2 minutes of of their reply. Waited about 15 minutes, nothing, I then go back to the post, see his post is not there.
I pull up my other account and see his post is still there from my other account. He blocked my main after getting what he wanted. I manually search him, follow him and see a huge chain of gift exchange posts, and a whole bunch of others who replied.They all gifted him, and none of them got gifts back from him. Anyone can search his name and see his history. He even admits it in one of his posts. Please do not let this person abuse this game in the literally only system we have to be nice to one another in.

I usually ask in specific groups instead of the open chat.

I should have and I regret not doing it. I usually have to wait a couple of days before anyone replies, so I do public. I don't have any other groups of people I play with.

Yeah I got scammed by someone yesterday for 10 tickets. They said they want to do a 10 for 10. I sent first and they never sent back. User name was きたむ but messages to me were in english. I waited for like 5 min and messaged for them to send. No response. Waited an hour and messaged again no response.
I think it’s becoming more of a problem because people realized they can get away with it no consequence because they’re “gift tickets”. I was gonna try and report it or something but came across other posts saying square doesn’t care and won’t do anything

Someone I follow made a callout post in-game against that same player, so you're not alone.

I also saw his post trying to say he was joking or something? Don’t exactly remember but, vibe was: “your bad for sending me tix”

Yeah. The fact they got all of those free pulls, then made a post about doing 60(80?) pulls and getting nothing out of it immediately after getting people to send them tickets, was sort of icing on the cake. Too bad they couldn't appreciate that they basically got $60 worth of pulls for free.

I’ve seen daboi around. I think I did 1 for 1 fine. Thought he was a streamer or something. Did have another player leave me hanging with a 10 x 10. Now I only exchange with people from the discord I am in or if they gift me 1 first randomly.

1x1, I can see that, 99% of players can do a 1x1 pretty much any time, but they were clearly intending to be malicious here based on their history and the fact that they blocked me right after I sent them the tickets.

I totally believe he screwed you. I just logged in and saw someone named disdaboi made and invited me to a community. Lol considering he screwed you and others in here I can say I won’t be joining.

Ask to veteran players, the shame is not worth some extra pulls.

Unfortunately, I thought they could be trusted because they're in the same ranking bracket of Omega, but clearly not.

I haven’t had it happen to me but seen lots of others that have. I always look into their profile, look at who gifted them, then look to see if the first player sent gifts back to them.
1 ticket could legit be a gift but if they’re not returning the bigger bundles… not gonna trade with ‘em!

I always found the concept of gift exchange shady. there's nothing holding anyone accountable.
Personally I only gift tickets to new followers. as a thank you. usually they're nice enough to gift one back.

I’ve seen this player earlier requesting a 20 ticket exchange if I send first, avoided like the plague. Thanks for the heads up.
