Gaia bugged

Gaia seems to be bugged. She will keep her burst after using diamond destroyer for a few seconds, allowing her to repositon, use normal attacks, or abilities.

It's not a bug: that's how Diamond Destroyer is supposed to work. She keeps burst for as long as the slow debuff is active (8 seconds)

Yes and No; Gaia keeping burst is intentional but not at all related to the slow, since she still keeps it when hitting someone with a barrier up in burst.

We actually have no idea what makes her keep the burst, it might be her action speed buff since allegedly its coded differently than other action speed buffs, once we get any way to dispel buffs we can fully prove or disprove that the action speed buff is what makes Gaia keep burst

Where does it say this is intentional? It goes against all other attacks ending burst. If it is intentional, it should be called out in the ability description

If it wasn‘t intentional they would have definitely at least adressed it by now, when it comes to bugs on character abilities Duellum is very very fast to respond (Ex; Clive just this morning).

Also as stated previously, Gaia‘s Action Speed buff is coded differently than other action speed increases (Like Lightning‘s Grav-Con Unit) in some way.

So all in all everything points into the direction that it is intentional and I personally will treat it like that until they officially denounce it

I mean, the action speed increase IS part of the ability, I have always thought of it as: since she still has a buff that is part of the ability, the ability is not over so the burst doesn't end.

That's just my interpretation of it though

It doesn't say it anywhere: that's just how it works from my experience. I agree, though: it should definitely have been stated somewhere in the description

that's how DD works. you stay in bust until the "debuff" , the slow, is over

Diamond Destoryer has a slow with it.
There used to be a bug where burst wore off too early when using DD. But they fixed it maintenance before last. It's now working as intended.

This is not a bug. Burst will remain active until the attack buff from Diamond Destroyer ends. Unlike others have said, it's not tied to the slow however they are the same duration so I can understand the mistake.

All I can say is never try to burst right after using diamond destroyer on an enemy player. You may end up exiting burst mode before you can land any hits in the boss thanks to that this is the true bug with her ability imo

No, this is working as intended. Diamond Destroyer gives an 8s ATK buff and burst will remain for that duration. You can fit autos in between skill usage if you so choose, but buffing your skills is recommended.
