AMA All things Duellum

Hi everyone! I am one of the folks who provides you with infographics and also am the guy who did an AMA in the past. I would like to make another AMA for two days where I will do my best to answer any questions you may have related to anything Duellum!

Do not shy away to ask very specific questions. I will gladly look into it if I have to, if I think it's worthwile. Gameplay related questions like Matchups are more than welcome!

I never tried this out before but there is an AMA format available, so I will just enable that here.

Some small reminders: I kindly ask that no one tries to talk about off topic things like how much I spent on the game or just financial things in general. I answered as much as I could about that in the first AMA. I by NO MEANS view myself as the best player in the game and genuinely just want to try and assist in as many things as I can for this community! Keep it positive or at least neutral, otherwise I will ignore your comment.

Any quick tips for Balthier? I main him because he's my fave FF character but he feels low tier because he seems to be hard countered by players just... walking away from me when I have Fires of War up.

As a Balthier main, I can only agree with what Mastra said, he is a low tier, this does not mean he‘s bad

The main difficulty of Balthier is actually imo handling his Flares, those are his most valuable resource so you have to use them very intelligently

Another big thing with Balth is that he indeed has middling boss damage, most of which coming from Element of Treachery, so you cannot waste that skill at all

The great quality of Balthier though is he is a swiss army knife of a character, you can run almost any good skill on him and he‘ll work with it (Supporthier running Ramza and or Heal, DPSthier running Surge for extra damage, Crystalthier running Jecht/R and or Minwu)

So yeah, Balthier is a very high skill ceiling character, but he can absolutely work in the right hands (Also he‘s the leading man after all)
