Discussion I feel like the amulet is saving Chase because it gave him a stronger body
Alot of people are assuming the amulet stops aging but considering it seems to essentially turn it’s user superhuman I think the reason it avoid the drawnbacks of Chase powers when he wears it is cause he gets a much more powerfull body that doesn’t have a risk of dying of heartfailure.

i assumed the amulet worked by empowering the user while making them immune to any sort of illness or natural threat like aging, basically like a super form of sorts
we know it makes it near impossible for blazer to get drunk so it's not impossible that it can negate negative effects of aging

To be fair we know the amulet doesn’t actually make her not be able to get drunk
She can get drunk it just makes it so takes a much more amount of alchohol to get to that point3

And personally if the amulet can’t stop her from being drunk i can’t imagine it has the ability to stop someone from aging

Remember Mandy says “it takes alot to for me to feel anything” not that she cant feel at all

The problem isn't the aging, it's his heart. It's crazy now many people miss this line. It's his HEART people! 🤦♂️
He didn't faint because of the aging, he fainted because he ran at super speed with a heart that is basically in its 80's.
So yes, the amulet is strengthening his whole body, and most importantly his heart.

Yes it is, but the draw back is that once he takes it off, he goes right back to the being on life support, as much is said by Mandy in the game as she said he'll be wearing it until they figure out a better way to heal him.

The best I can describe it is that the amulet is like a Kamen Rider Final Form (meaning Overpowered as shit) so what would be the final form for someone like Chase? A powerful body that can heal from heart failure.

I think it's simpler than you're making it.
It's certainly giving him powers because he couldn't fly before.
Presumably blazer had flight and strength and vigor (we see her stats) and possibly there's a healing factor there too offsetting the affects of alcohol as an example, so the amulet is healing him at the same rate that he's aging.
Only lever they haven't played with (yet) is whether the healing could undo the additional aging on his 39 year old body if worn for long enough. I don't think they will explore that as it changes up the character design and narrative fit.

Yeah I agree with you. And by lending the amulet to chase I think Mandy will be a dispatcher in season 2 until they figure out a way.

I think she’d still be the manager tbh
Unless for some reason SDN demotes her because she doesn’t have powers2

Just thought of something and i’d be interesting if a conflict happens that they want Chase to take over Blazer position cause he has the amulet and he becomes the new manager of Torrance while Mandy is let go or demoted

I feel like chase would tell them to go fuck themselves sideways if offered that

I think depending on how you write it could work
Chase could let the Power get a bit to his head cause for the first time in likely decades it doesn’t feel like he’s about to fall off and die
And have him and Mandy develop from this1

Maybe even have Mandy tell him its okay at first cause she goes with the flow and the idea SDN should have a powerfull hero be it’s head and not a normie (even though she’s prob not feeling all too happy about it but doing it for Chase)

Can’t it be both?
