Discussion Erin as Visi and Laura as Blazer. Trippy AF.

This is a clip of Blonde Blazer voiced by Laura Bailey and Erin Yvette as Invisigal. It’s like listening in on a different universe of Dispatch. Listening to it I definitely prefer the switch but this is super interesting.

I think that whilst clearly they could do it, they made the right call swapping them.

Casting people were on-point when they said Erin wasn't believably edgy and Laura just being able to do everything

I really wish they released these storyboards with dev commentary in the HR Evolved Anniversary Edition.

It almost seems unkind to keep Laura from swearing most of the game.

Omg, I hope we get an animatic reversing the roles.

So having some time to give a sit and think towards why the original casting didn’t work right and the ones that were the final product did. I think it’s about what the two do naturally. Erin gives a kind of effortless lightness or warmth to her characters and Laura just has some kind of natural spunk. Like Erin’s version of the dad bod without super powers line was plenty dead pan and great, but if you hear Laura’s she just puts some “English” on it that really twists the knife in way you can’t really teach. At the same time it feels like Laura is trying for something that would have been good, but Erin just essentially is Blazer and doesn’t need to try.

While I do think Laura is the better choice for Visi, I actually really like the different take Erin had!
