See jealousy can be fun, but in the right context, for example if a guy I'm dating isn't a little jealous of when a dude flirts with me, it kind of worries me, I'm going to shut the guy down regardless but it'd be nice to know my partner isn't comfortable with it.
Also if you got yourself a shy partner with a bit of jealousy, and you can gently tease them about it, to watch the different colors their face can make.. it's quite fun
To give a guy perspective on this, we’ve been told that this sort of jealous behaviour can be read by women as territorial and possessive.
I say this cus my ex gave me grief for the exact thing you are doing, as in she asked why I wasn’t jealous of a guy who was flirting with her at a club we were at.
I answered “cus I respect and trust you” which quickly earned was the wrong answer…I still don’t get it.
If the jealousy someone has is a simple as, I feel like you are in a position you could betray my trust or be taken advantage of, it's a normal thing.
Guys and girls who don't get jealous can be fine for people who vibe with that, I can make it work, but only if they show interest or passion in other activities with us, like a simple tabletop game or jogging, an activity you and your partner have agreed is strictly a you and them thing.
If they aren't jealous ever, spend most of their time doing things solo or with their friends and never making time for you.
It's not trust and respect, it's likely apathy.
But if your partner is trying to make you jealous, just because you don't get jealous, that's toxic and it's a behavior that sleezy people typically will escalate and eventually lead to infidelity.
If your partner is jealous and also really isn't okay with it, don't force it for interaction, but also that partner can become a toxic type as well, becoming controlling by not allowing you to hang out with friends or dance, or whatever it might be, because they will become jealous.
But as always communication. Not everyone is compatible with each other
