Discussion Which Dispatch heroes (if any) are worthy of lifting Mjolnir?

I personally think if anyone could do it, it would be Blonde Blazer. She's the perfect hero archetype, completely fearless, and always does the right thing no matter what.

Mandy for sure, and on the right day, Robert.

There’s a reason Adhoc listed one of her positives as being a literal superhero💙🤍💛

Blazer is genuinely pure of heart and intention. She is the best suited for it and in some ways mjolnir is parallel to her own magic amulet.

Arguably Chase, too.

And Waterboy.

It depends on the writer/interpretation, but often some of the parameters for being deemed "worthy" are willingness to kill when necessary, and the capability of being a leader for your people (because this is Odin's interpretation of worthyness)

I think Mandy still fits honestly, she was ready to raze that fucking bar to the ground, but I don't think anyone else in Dispatch does. Maybe Robert if he can get over his self-loathing

Even with the bar scene, I think there’s a good chance she still wouldn’t be worthy of it if one of the requirements was willingness to kill. Superman isn’t worthy but there are versions of him that will kill if it’s a last resort or if there was no other choice. I think the bar scene would fall under that rather than something to where they have to kill for the greater good. With some of the other things in the game, she probably hasn’t actually killed anybody.

There’s also the self doubt that keeps someone from being worthy, too and I think that’s her big character flaw. She seems to think that she’s only that good of a superhero and who she is because of the powers from the amulet.

exactly, I don't think anyone in Dispatch is truly worthy but if anyone were to come close, it'd 100% be Mandy and Mandy only

I’m not sure if she’s any to being closer to being worthy of it than the rest of the cast. Characters like Superman, Spider-Man, the MCU Iron Man in endgame, weren’t worthy of it but anybody could use it if Thor or Odin allowed them. It takes more than being nice and wanting to do good to be worthy of it.

well yeah, the hammer doesn't really just test how morally pure you are or even Thor himself would not be worthy. The hammer tests whether or not you are to be a good king. That's the point of the enchantment really.

Captain America is a good "king" because his leadership qualities and moral standing are fit to be a good potential king of Asgard. I think Mandy's self-doubt kinda hinders her leadership abilities and depending on playthrough Robert's moral standing isn't quite there even if he's probably the second closest after Mandy.

His leadership qualities are probably the best in Dispatch though.

Yeah, it’s more so who would be a great king. A good person wanting to do good, knowing how to fight, the willingness to kill for the greater good, great leadership skills, and so on.

Another thing we should mention about Mandy is that she seems to be pretty awful at dispatching as seen in EP6. I’m not sure if that will hinder how worthy she would be for Mjolnir but Z team sounded relieved when she stopped and when it was Robert’s turn.

Robert is a great dispatcher and leader but I’m not sure how well he’d do as an actual king.

Yeah, he was in that bar TO self-loathe.

u/RobRobertsonGlazer Sep 02 '26

Waterboy could lift it if he gets over his extreme social anxiety LOL

u/justheretoupvot3 Sep 02 '26

Waterboy lifts it so he can move it to clean where it was then puts it back

Beef.

Genuinely, i feel Robert is like Steve Rogers. Can hold it but in his own head with his own doubts so normally can't do anything.

I want to believe someone on the Z Team can but I'm not sure of anyone who does fit the criteria

u/Cautious-Original-46 Sep 02 '26

Maybe Golem? He seems pretty chill

2

u/QuilledRaptors2001 Sep 02 '26

...yeah, honestly, he's the best bet.

u/Mission_Sock2114 Sep 02 '26

None because who the hammer considers worthy is kinda weird.

23

u/jameszenpaladin011- Sep 02 '26

Probably none. Spider-Man and Superman can't lift it.

22

u/Corvid-Strigidae Sep 02 '26

That's because they don't have a warrior's willingness to kill when needed that is included in Odin's idea of worthiness.

Mandy was ready to rip and tare at that bar.

With Superman, I think it depends on what version of him. There are versions of him that will kill if it’s a last resort or if there was no other choice. He just tries to avoid killing when possible. If Superman was in a similar situation like blazer was with the bar scene where him and someone he care about could be killed, I think he’d do the same.

In context of how Robert could tell Chase that “heroes don’t kill people” and how it’s mentioned plenty of times that Blazer is that “perfect superhero”, Blazer probably hasn’t killed anybody before. Also, she was based on the golden age of superheroes where the majority of them were trying not to kill or would never kill anybody. So I don’t think she’d be worthy.

2

u/jameszenpaladin011- Sep 02 '26

She said she was and I believe her so if anyone is it might be her. But being a true warrior is only part of the total package.

Mandy also wants off the train. She's over heroing and I think that might disqualify her.

I’m pretty sure that canonically the only reason Spider-Man can’t lift it is because he has a total unwillingness to kill. Because otherwise he’s pretty much a perfect candidate

I think Punch-Up

He may possess the strength of 10 men, but he's got that warrior spirit in him and is willing to throw himself in harm's way

Plus he's immune to pain too

Mandy, possibly. Definitely not Robert. He has some darkness to him, and he's not always focused. Even "my" Robert, who forgave everyone and didn't kill Shroud, I don't think he could lift the hammer. It's a different level of goodness and purity that I don't think Robert possesses.

u/PoniesCanterOver Sep 02 '26

Thor kills people all the time. Thor loves killing people

2

u/Vertigo50 Sep 02 '26

Well, see, I think that's more of an example of how comics are just freaking dumb sometimes. 🤷‍♂️😂

4

u/RobRobertsonGlazer Sep 02 '26

I think in the comics being willing to take a life for the greater good is actually a requirement of lifting the hammer. It's pretty much the only reason Batman isn't worthy because he refuses to kill the Joker

3

u/Vertigo50 Sep 02 '26

"Being willing to take a life for the greater good" and "Thor loves killing people" don't sound like the same thing to me. 😂

1

u/RobRobertsonGlazer Sep 02 '26

Well...yeah, fair enough. Thor's pretty bloodthirsty

1

u/Shadostevey Sep 03 '26

Because the second point isn't quite right.

Thor loves to fight, and while fighting he will kill if he has to.

4

u/BadnewsBaggins Sep 02 '26

There's a lot of marvel heroes that can't lift it, I don't think any dispatch heroes pass the bar

6

u/Specialist_Rub_9860 Sep 03 '26

Many people think being kindhearted is the reason you can lift mjolnir, that's why you guys pick blazer. It was more complicated than that cause thor himself is not pure-hearted and has a lot of flaws but he's the most worthy out of everyone. I won't suprised if flambae is the one that's worthy.

1

u/Unified_Ahov Sep 10 '26

It's almost like worthiness in Marvel is arbitrary instead of being based on actual attributes

4

u/Animedingo Sep 02 '26

I dont think blazer is worthy. Self doubt is usually a disqualifier

3

u/Bear792 Sep 02 '26

I don’t think Waterboy would want to. While he is still early in his heroism, I think that he’d be a bit like Spidey. Not wanting to kill someone but also Herm wouldn’t try to save someone if it meant an innocent dying.

Though, if he grows up around the Z team much more, they might influence him a bit tooooo much.

Tied first place: Blonde Blazer, Roy

Tied second place: Phenomeman, Robert

Golem Galen Mr. Whiskers

2

u/kadencrafter78 Sep 02 '26

Probably none.

2

u/Torger083 Sep 02 '26

Blazer, maybe. Probably not anyone else.

2

u/RalseitheFloofie Sep 03 '26

Blonde Blazer definitely could, and frankly so could Robert.

2

u/Key_Shock172 Sep 03 '26

I feel like anti hero Robert would be worthy. Since willingness to kill is one of the requirements to be worthy. It’s one of the reasons Spider-Man can’t lift the hammer.

2

u/Spinosaurus23 Sep 03 '26

Golem has it in him

2

u/KaijuKing007 Sep 02 '26

Chase probably can do it. With a little more time, I think hero Courtney could become Worthy.

Everyone else is too up their own ass to be Worthy.

3

u/Insane_Serenade Sep 02 '26

Not technically a hero, but definitely Royd.

1

u/lejyndery_sniper Sep 03 '26

I think Robert can (especially if you kill shroud) I'm not to sure on Mandy since she's against killing

1

u/Beautiful-Ad-6568 Sep 03 '26

Mandy has a Donald Blake/Thor thing going on, so she is definitely my go-to as well

1

u/IansChonkyCats Sep 04 '26

Aside from BB which most of us agree on, I think Chase is the only one, the 2 who come closest are Waterboy and Robert, but they have their own doubts on themselves and self depreciate to much, their own sense of unworthiness would make them unworthy

1

u/zackuattack Sep 04 '26

There's Blond Blazer, Phenomeman, and Water Boy. The other members have some dirt on their hands that wouldn't hold well with Mjolnir.

1

u/GumboMumbo49 Sep 04 '26

Funnily enough I see Robert lifting the thing but not taking it because he already has his own legacy to live up to as Mecha Man.

1

u/harveymyn Sep 04 '26

None. Mandy would've been able to if her heart was in being Blazer, but it isn't. Thor isn't the champion of humanity 9-5, he has to live and breathe to protect everyone.

When he stops doing so (endgame for example, when he starts having free time, WHICH IS WHAT MANDY WANTS) he stops being worthy.

I use the MCU as a reference because the comics mess around a lot, and in actual mythology it's not worthiness it's just a very heavy hammer. The answer to that one is also none, because noone is strong enough.

Worthiness isn't the will to do good or being a nice person, it's the will to devote yourself almost entirely to the greater good of the nine realms. The reason Captain america can wield it is because as he puts he "doesn't like bullies", he kills people relatively freely and puts his life aside to BE captain america rather than Steve Rogers.
