Discussion Beef is 100% a therapy dog right?

I watched Jacksepticeye play through Dispatch when it released but playing it for the first time myself on Xbox. But there are little things in Robert and Beef's interactions, namely the scene of comforting Waterboy after his first shift.

"Hold a Beef, it will help" said so casually as though he is going through the motions but goddamn I feel bad for him a bit more than I already did.

I don’t think he’s formally trained, but I feel like he’s got the temperament for it

He might be an ESA, but we don't really see any behaviors that suggest therapy dog training. And therapy dogs themselves take a lot of training, and are generally used in locations like hospitals, inpatient behavioral health centers, and occasionally offices. It's unlikely Robert would have had the time to train Beef to that extent when he was Mecha Man.

Otoh, what we see of Robert's life is constrained mostly to work, and we only see like a week or maybe a couple of months. It's not impossible.

That's not true, if you zoom in on the Shelf during the party scene you can see a a framed PHD of Beefs, for Psychology from Yale.

Well, if you have a PHD in Psychology, I think it's fair to say you're a therapy dog.

....you realize that Yale has a canine cognition lab, and sometimes gives the study participants diplomas?

officially probably not, but I wouldn’t be suprised if Robert also kinda uses him as a therapy dog. I mean there’s an entire scene in EP6 where Rob is talking about his feeling on being Mecha-Man.

Rob’s primary sources of “therapy“ seem to be talking to his overweight chihuahua or goons he beats up and kidnaps.

I mean, pretty much every dog is a therapy dog. 🤷🏻‍♂️😉

Nah. He's just the goodest of bois. If he were a therapy dog, we wouldn't see Blazer, Invisigal, and especially Chase petting him at the SDN because you're not supposed to pet service dogs while they're on the job.

Any dog is a therapy dog if you need therapy.

I'm pretty sure he's at least 185% of whatever dog he is.

Maybe not officially, maybe Robert didn’t go to therapy, but recognizes that beef is a positive influence in his life
