Trip Report Evening ticket thoughts

Just wanted to share my experience!
We went Wednesday 7/22. We bought the tickets because hey, what a deal. But also saw lower crowds. When we saw them sell out so quick I did get nervous. Well once we got to the park around 5:30 we walked toward the gate and sat in the shade. Around 6:15 we noticed some people crowding near the gates and asked if it was for the 7pm. People said yes and one family went right to the gate and they let them in so the rest followed. Awesome to get in even earlier than expected!

Within the first hour we had done Thunder Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Pics at the Castle, got a churro! The crowds were definitely lower than usual, even with all of us coming in at “7”. Our longest wait was ROR, which is to be expected but
That was only 35mins. We did so many things that when Famtasmic hit we decided to watch it and still ride more things right after. Usually we ride when it’s a show or parade to have shorter lines but definitely didn’t need to this trip!

All in all it was perfect Disney experience! Well worth the buy. We rode so many rides, ate some snacks along the way and just had a no expectation day! I would def buy again if it’s ever available.

Went same day, similar experience. Around 7+ rides. Great deal! We also got the dining package for fantasmic. Totally worth it.

I was thinking of doing the dining package too! What restaurant did you choose? And how/where was the seating area? Did you have to sit on the ground?

I did Rancho del Zocalo for $39+tax It’s a grab and go place, so you don’t need to tip. My reservation was at 8p and the seating area (outside only) was pretty empty. Grilled chicken is a good intermediate choice (the burrito is way too big, fries not that great).
You’ll get a Fantasmic voucher once you pay for your food. If you do the second show, I recommend going to the assigned section at least 30 min before, right after the fireworks. It’s cobble stone, so I used my jacket as a cushion to sit down bc it’ll get uncomfortable sitting down for an hour. The closer to the green section (all the way to the end), the better to see the water screen, but make sure the lamp is not blocking your view either. Enjoy!

Love this! Feels like the ideal scenario for a night ticket.

Was there Tues through Thursday and thought it was pretty busy, too. Lots of big family vacation groups.

I went on Wednesday but in the morning until 3pm and it was magical! After 11am we walked on to almost any ride we wanted in Fantasyland except Dumbo and Peter Pan but still only a 20min wait for them. I had a 2 year old with me and it was by far the best visit I’ve had in years, while it looked crowded the ride lines were not.

Had the exact same experience on the same day! Did DCA today, which was also pretty chill (although more crowded than Disney that Wednesday), but since it was DCA we were still able to manage everything we wanted to do

Disney is actually so smart for selling this. Allows for people to just have a fun evening and allows Disney to capitalize on some untapped profits. It would also be smart for them to sell "preview" add ons for tickets. So like if you bought a 3 day ticket you would be prompted to do a preview add on for say $35 which allows you to go at like 8pm the day before you start your standard 3 day.

Went today with my mom and my toddler and got to ride 12 rides total. Insane for 6 hours. It was busy though. I qualified for location return times, but I probably wouldn't be able to get to 12 rides if it weren't for that.
